Buying a Buick is showing your age.

Zero miles.My diabetes forced me to sell all 4 of my bikes.First time since 1966 I haven't owned a bike.We did about 20,000 on the Porsche and the Mercedes convertibles.Still getting the wind in the face and working on out tans.

I have a Mercedes SLK hardtop convertible.Just a push of a button and the top folds into the trunk.Never leaked no wind noise with the top up.I have the four cylinder supercharged 2.3L.Great gas mileage and plenty of power.If I ever get another convertible it will definately be a hardtop.

You sure that was the vinegar bottle?I eat lost of food with vinegar on them and I still get the cramps,but when I hit the Coors bottle they seem to go away and everything else too.

I had one on my RSV for 4 years.loved every mile.It sure got a lot of attention cruising down the road pulling a Bunkhouse behind it.My wife had a CD player and an electric heater in the hack.I live in the mountains of NC so every road was a twisty.Lots of fun in an empty parking lot in the snow doing donuts.

Thanks to all who served.I enjoyed every day of my 23 years 10 months 17 days in the Army,well almost every day. I often wonder...Should a man wearing a helmet defending his country be paid LESS than a man wearing a helmet defending a football....

Can I tag along in my Mercedes?

Started riding 1966.Never been without a bike since.Last October I took the bike out of the garage and almost dropped it.Got off and told the wife I was finished riding.My diabetes and the bad feet said no more riding.Sold the bike.I enjoyed driving my Porsche but it was getting harder and harder to use the clutch so last Monday I sold the Porsche.I could not be without a converyible so I looked for one with an automatic,I found a great deal on a Mercedes SLK 230,automatic,hardtop convertible so I bought it.It was hard to give up riding but if it's not raining or snowing the top is down and I am satisfied.

Free is always good,no matter how bad or good

20 miles south east of my house I can hit the BRP and travel over 100 miles and still be within 50 miles from home.Since I (own) that 100 miles I need to set up a toll booth and charge a fee for riding that section,but for VR members the ride will be free.I live 2 miles from the start of The Devils Whip.NC 80 and 8 miles from the Diamond Back..NC 226A.These are 2 rides you need to ride.

When you get to Spruce Pine NC exit the parkway onto NC 226A.Go down the mountain to Marion and then back up the mountain on NC 80.Both roads have a ton of twisties and both have a 2000 foot elevation change.Two of the greatest motorcycle rides in the USA.I am fortun ate that I live 2 miles from NC 80 and 8 miles to NC226A.When you get to my area give a call and we can meet up.If you ride these two roads PLEASE obey the speed limit as some of these curves are deceiving and bad things can happen. My wife and I was at my brothers house.He asked me how my gas mileage was with the supercharger on my car.I told him I got better gas mileage without my wife in the car.I told him I don't use the air conditioner when she isn't in the car.

OH yes it's me.You and me do a race from Skid's house to DQ on foot.Your feet being a 1st gen and my feet being a Porsche Boxster.

Speed is not just measured in a 1/4 mile race.Speed can also be measured over a 1000 mile race.First one there is the fastest.

As I no longer own a motorcycle I will not comment on this subject,I will just sit back and enjoy the humor.BTW Yammer Dan,I will now be sitting at the DQ waiting for you to show up on your 1st Gen

Since Don bought his Harley it inspired me to sell all 4 of my Ventures and buy a Porsche.I now have to ride in the back of the pack at the VR events and that means I am the last one to be served when we stop to eat and sometimes I don't get to finish my meal because it is time to finish the ride.Thanks Don but I am still not gonna leave this organization.On the upside,if it starts to rain or the weather turns bad I can always put the top up and turn on the heat.Now I am a happy camper again.BTW my Porsche does have a cassette player and a CB.
