Yes, that would be mean. I mean hey, who of the nice Attendants out of VR.org would contribute to such a mean Thing .... :missingtooth: :missingtooth: On the other Hand, you know, since Forrest Gump said before me ... S**t happens ... P.S. I remember Lewis telling everybody he sure will have got ahold of his Gift by Maintenance Day ...

If he throws the Controller Box in, the Orice might be ok, not a Bargain, but Ok. The Controller Box is a Black Box, larger than a Pack of Cigarettes but also thinner than that. Has a round 5 Pin Connector which goes to the Servo Motor in the Picture.

Lewis, you better make sure you gather your Gift, or Jonas will take to Iceland or even Greenland .... :fingers-crossed-emo:fingers-crossed-emo:fingers-crossed-emo

just to add ... After you balanced the Vacuum in all four Intake Manifolds, your Throttle Plates will be operate synchronized.

On the Vmax, Light Checking Mode is pushing the Starter Button whilst the Motor is running. All Control Light will shine bright.

Neil is right. When you pull the Lever, the Clutch Pressure Plate is forced outwards and releases (opens) the Clutch. When you have to pump several Times to achive this, the Fluid is hot and not able transfer hydraulic Pressure to the Slave. This is usually the Time to change the Brake Fluid and bleed the Clutch System.

Improving gas mileage...

WOT would be WIDE OPEN THROTTLE Based on your Description, the Motor is running too lean in my Opnion. "Improving Air Quality" is relative. There are more Gases than just Carbone Monoxide(CO) in Exhaust Gases, running rich produces more CO, but may reduce other Gases like Nitrogen Oxides. There are also Carbon Hydride, Sulphur Dioxide. Runing lean does not only vary the Fuel Consumption, but also produce more "bad" Exhaust Gases. Carbone Monoxide is "not as bad" as the other Gases. So, the Answer might be "Yes", because an overweight of CO makes the Exhaust Gases not as bad as running CO in a underweighted Condition. Of Course, all those Gases are a bad Thing, so it's Kind of academic, but that why those Catalitic Converters and O2 Sensors are invented for. We're talking about the Motor here, if we would be talking Environment, we should shut down all our Toys first. -

Push the Stand up and use a T-Handle with a Hook on the End. Be carefull, it's not funny and some Blood Loss might occur. Also, wear Eye Protection. -

How did you ride while emptying the Tank ? Fast, slow, Highway, Back Roads, WOT, normal or maybe a bit hesitatting ?? These Plugs sure look too lean to me, but partly it's how you did ride to get this Plug Colors. -
The inner Engine Casting around the Trans doesn't allow all oil to flow back to the Oil Pan. So there's always around 0.2 Liter Oil trapped. The lowest of the six Bolts is the Drain Bolt for that Area and needs to have a Copper Washer to seal. Otherwise it can leak there. Doesn't mean it WILL leak, but it can. Yammi says there should be a Copper Washer. I learned it the leaky Way.

Is there a clutch adjustment?
Squeeze replied to wes0778's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
The easy Thing you need to do to avoid creeping forward is to pull the Clutch Lever and held it for 2 or 3 Seconds before you start the Motor, and/or don't start the Bike in Gear. It's the Cohesion Force between Clutch Plates and Motor Oil.- 8 replies

Don't forget the copper Washer on the lowest of the six Bolts of the Cover.

Put a Piece of Wood under the rear Tire, about one Inch thick, and no Oil will come out, except for the little Amount which keep catched behind the Diaphragm Spring and the Ring which the Spring goes into. Use a Rag and not one Drip on the Floor.

The Manual for the XVZ13DA© states 33.3 kpa(250mm Hg) at 950 to1050 RpM on Page 2-14. But actually, i've never seeen such high Vacuum Amounts on the Bikes i worked on. Usual Value is around 260 kPa which equates to around 200mm Hg. The Value isn't inportant, as long it is in somewhere in that Ball Parl. Unison is the Key Word.

I may be wrong, but i've seen a small Squidley Sticker somewhere in the Pics. Very nice Rude and it seems the Seller gave a honest Description of the Ride. If I'd be in the Market for a Bike, this would have close Attention.
