  1. you actually drive like that??
  2. While many feel roundabouts are safer, they are very confusing for a lot of drivers ... at least the ones I've been in around here. What's worse is the people who've built them (around here) must be midgets who drive go-karts coz they certainly don't allow sufficient space for larger vehicles, especially the double-laned roundabouts. And those ones, it seems nobody really understands which "lane" they should be in to exit as there are no proper directional markings. (end of RANT)
  3. Google "msvcrt.dll can not be opened" ... there might be some help there.
  4. Did you look to see if that file exists?? I have it on my system... I think it's a standard Windows dll file.
  5. My wife bought a new blouse ... she asked me "does this look good on me?" and I replied "I can't say for sure coz I haven't seen it on anyone else.." ... and that's when the fight started!
  6. Try installing in under Wndows 7 "compatibility mode". We've got 2 programs that won't install normally in Windows 7 but I was able to install them in this mode and then when I run the program I run them the same way...in compatibility mode. As for the programming, unless a person has access to the source code and can re-compile it, not much can be done. You might also want to try Windows Virtual PC ... http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx We use it at work also for a couple Cisco web apps that are not windows 7 compatible.
  7. Forget what Randy said... take them carbs offa your scoot and send 'em to me!!
  8. Have you pulled the rear wheel and checked the drive pins and the splines (both front and rear) ??
  9. I can't say for sure but I expect it will. I used the autosol on the lower forks of my Honda 500-4 years ago and they came out real nice. Also used it on the Aluminum rims of my GMC van back around 1982 and they shone almost like chrome. If it's aluminum and still in decent condition (not pitted, etc) then this stuff makes it look real shiney ... it just takes a bit of work sometimes.
  10. We will be hoping for his full recovery. Additionally, we'll be supporting Prostate cancer research by attending.... (as we do most every year) http://www.trevdeeley.com/activities/community-charity/ride-live I urge all local VR.org members to be a part of this very worthy cause.
  11. I think this one's been posted before but here it is again as it seems to fit the theme of this thread... The following is a telephone exchange between a hotel guest and room-service: Room Service (RS): "Morrin. Roon sirbees." Guest (G): "Sorry, I thought I dialed room-service." RS: " Rye . Ow bow Anglish moppin we bodder ? G: "Oh, English muffin!!! I've got it! You were saying 'toast'...Fine...Yes, an English muffin will be fine." RS: "We bodder?" G: "No, just put the bodder on the side." RS: "Wad?!?" G: "I mean butter... just put the butter on the side." RS: "Copy?" G: "Excuse me?" RS: "Copy...tea...meel?" G: "Yes. Coffee, please... and that's everything." RS: "One Minnie. Scramah egg, crease baykem, Anglish moppin, we bodder on sigh and copy..rye ??" G: "Whatever you say." RS: "Tenjooberrymuds." G: "You're welcome."
  12. I've used Solvol Autosol (paste in a tube) numerous times over the past 30 years to polish aluminum. Does a fantastic job. Start out with double-zero steel wool and a liberal amount of the paste for the initial stage, once done with that, use a buffing wheel on your drill with more paste. Be careful not to "burn" the paste with the buffing wheel. Takes a bit of practise but the end result is a chrome-like finish. EDIT: ooops... I replied not realizing this was an old thread I'd already replied to. Had to go back and make sure I didn't contradict myself LMAO!!

    Rain

Yes, and if they had any sense, they would have taken OUR RAIN with them LOL
  14. We went over the Golden Gate bridge once... here's what we saw... And that was it! LOL
  15. Nina & I went that route on our way down to SLO & Los Osos for a Venture West rally. Unfortunately, it was quite foggy and wet at that time.
  16. I voted but I had to go look at your profile pics to figgure out which bike it was coz I have no idea which is Miller Park. Also had to steal somebody's US Zip code coz I don't think it accepts Can postal codes EDIT: OH... ... guess if I'da opened the pics up I coulda read the signage
  17. Dang!!! that really SUX big time Mike. I'm a pretty "laid back" kinda guy but something like that woulda put me over the top for sure. Hope ya get her all fixed up and you can feel good about riding her again. Question for you.... you mentioned timing being out by one tooth. I've always wondered about timing on these bikes and this is the first I've heard of someone adjusting it so, where exactly do you adjust the timing "by one tooth"???
  18. A local dealer here has a new 2009 ... the "red" one. I sure like the color but am so leary about that possible clutch whine, I just can't see myself taking the chance. I had my " I " basket installed and at first, it was OK (acceptable) but now I can hear that danged whine is seemingly getting worse. If it wasn't for that, ..... well, I wouldn't even consider changing. The thing is, when there's something about a vehicle that just "bothers" a guy... then ya tend to hate the whole thing. Best of luck with that 2010 !
  19. FYI ... I adapted my stock end weights by simply grinding out the hole in the Kuryakin grips so it was big enuf.

  21. 6235 is what is listed for your bike. 6240 is universal for 1" handlebars I'd get the 6235 ones. I believe those are the ones I got as the picture indicates they are.
  22. It's fairly simple and I believe instructions come with the grips. I did mine and I had instructions from somewhere .... but I think also that somebody here has posted instructions as well....but I could be mistaken on that... I was mistaken once before
  23. Glad to hear your scoot is back on the road but isn't that a bit of an extreme process to get rid of the clutch basket whine??? ps, did it work?
  24. A blond goes into a coffee shop and notices there's a "peel and win" sticker on her coffee cup. So, she peels it off and starts screaming "I've won a motorhome! I've won a motorhome!" The clerk says, "That's impossible. The biggest prize is a free lunch." But the blond keeps on screaming, "I've won a motorhome! I've won a motorhome!" Finally the manager comes over and says, "Ma'am, I'm sorry, but you're mistaken. You couldn't have possibly won a motor home because we didn't have that as a prize." The blond says, "No, it's not a mistake. I've won a motorhome!" and she hands the ticket to the manager and he reads ..... (are you ready for this?) (scroll down) WINABAGEL   :rotf:
