Scam????

That's a lotta bucks to be using PayPal for; however, if it can be done .... once the bucks are verified in your bank account .... wok the heck? But I do believe it's a scammer and he's just baiting the hook ... don't bite.
2. I don't know that it has anything specifically to do with the product, per se`. What I can say is the product worked as intended. In my case, I found that the clutch lever would be almost fully released before the clutch would fully engage. This was not "normal" to me as, since new, and with any other bike I've owned, the clutch would be fully engaged appx 2/3 of the way of releasing it. By that, I mean from fully clenched to the handlegrip to the fully released stop, I expected that full engagement would occur appx 2/3 of the way. It wasn't. Further, while rolling and applying throttle, I could disengage the clutch with very little movement of the lever. Perhaps it is associated to other things, such as.... Squeeze suggested I ensure that all the steel discs were installed with the "sharp edge" facing out, towards the outside of the clutch... so I did that. He also suggested I double-up on the spring, so I did that... using the PCW spring that skydoc supplied, plus my stock spring. Now I don't know which of these two things affected the outcome or if both of them did but now, the clutch is fully engaged at appx 1/2 - 2/3 release of the lever. On the downside, the force needed to pull on the clutch lever is now such that in a short time, I will be able to crack walnuts with my left hand, no problem LMAO!! Skydoc is helping to resolve that by swapping the PCW spring with 2 stock springs. Unfortunately, I am running out of usefulness of the gasket as I am now on the second one and around here, they are not cheap, otherwise I would test one more time with just the PCW spring. All other components of the Upgrade kit are still in place in the clutch basket, with the stock components removed and everything is installed as per spec. The end result I am trying to achieve is a stronger spring with no slippage under heavy load and an acceptable engage/disengage lever position without having to be able to crack walnuts. I hope this answers your Q and is useful to others.
3. Following is a "very condensed" version of my experience with Earl (skydoc_17) and his 2nd gen clutch upgrade kit. After installing the kit, I was not happy with a specific aspect of the results. Sorry, I hesitate to go into details at this time other than to say the kit does work. In any event, Earl has provided me with an acceptable workaround that should solve my specific issue. By this I just wanted everyone to know how very helpful Earl has been, and willing to ensure my full satisfaction, even though I really wasn't asking anything specific from him. I explained the issue, told him what I did to correct it and he went the extra mile (actually more) and offered a better solution. Thank you so much Earl, there are so many who could learn what the meaning of Customer Service is from you. Also I want to thank Squeeze for his input and expertise in this matter. What an amazing group of people we have here. :thumbsup2: :thumbsup2:

Road Glide

I rode both the RG Ultra & the Electra Ultra, both with the 103 mill last weekend. Don't care much for the fairing on the RG ... liked the Electra Ultra a lot! Wish I had the bucks! Rode the Voyager last year .... I liked it but Nina didn't care for the seating room. One downside was it seemed to "shudder" a lot under hard acceleration. Going to try out the Victory Cross Country on May 6th (I think I just like teasing myself! LOL)
5. I used to manage a car/truck rental fleet back in the 70's. We had GMC 5 tons that we rented out. They would do similar.... you'd be running them for a while and then stop somewhere.... a few min's later go to start them up and they'd just grunt. Let them sit for 15-20 min and no problem!
6. Never ASSume that since it is an Odessey -OR- that it is only a year old, that it is still good. Have it checked out.
7. You could also paint the ones you have or apply a "tint" kit to them. I don't know if you can actually buy them already shaded? I painted mine (on the back side) and I like that look.
8. I found that some of those links don't seem to produce what they're supposed to... and the last one didn't work for me. Some pretty kewl stuff tho ... I spent about an hour or so last night looking at them.
9. One of the members here is/was running a 170/80-15 Bridgestone Spitfire 11 rear. He had to shave appx 1/8 inch off the inside fender bracket.

12. Don't waste your time pumping grease into the driveshaft grease zerk ... it won't get where it needs to go...you'lll just fill up the tube with a whole lotta grease. You need to manually grease those splines (both forward and aft) and a good grease to use here is Moly 60. (wonder how I know this) The swingarm zerks were probably installed by a former owner.
13. I am very proficient with the "I-Pilot" .... especially when the "Co-Pilot" gets directions for me. :rotf: (sorry, couldn't resist)

18. We were at $1.30 something (maybe 32 or 34 I forgot) last weekend here in Vancouver yet when we rode up the valley... maybe 100 kms, gas was $1.19/Litre ... I just don't understand how there can be such a difference .... somehow the term "gouging" comes to mind.
19. hmmmm is it not possible to list something in one place and have the item located elsewhere? or have pics of it when it was somewhere else?
20. Yes, I did know that but many others might not so I felt it should be explained.
21. ...and why not may I ask?
22. That may be true but I've never seen it in action .... sounds to me like "all talk..."
