  1. YES!! that's one of the nice things I liked about them... no whine, no real annoying engine/tranny/driveline sounds at all.... just the exhaust note.
  2. I demo'd a Roadglide Ultra with the 103 mill last Saturday. For me it was just "ok". I don't care for their fairing ... seems to be too far forward for my liking. I also rode the Electra Ultra 103 mill .... liked it a lot more. What was "odd" between the two was the roadglide seemed to have more "shake" at idle than the Electra. I found both of them to have gobs of power and very smooth and easy to ride. Of course, no match for a Wing power wise. Sixth gear at 100 km/h still allowed you to throttle up but if you really wanted to pass, you had to drop down at least one gear. We were limited to what we could do as it was a group demo ride.
  3. Tongue depressor ???
  4. Well, although the temps around here have been appx 4 degrees celcius lower than normal, at least yesterday and today the rain gave way to sunshine and clouds so we did get out for a ride both days!! Nina got a new heated vest. I tried it yesterday and she had it today. Sure makes all the difference!!!

I am running Bridgestone Spitfire s11 on front and rear. Both installed appx the same time. I am planning to switch to Elite 3 stock size front and rear sometime in July.
  6. Sorry to hear about your mishap ... hope those ribs heal soon, I know how that can hurt! On the topic of group riding, yesterday I was out on the Harley demo days and of course, everyone goes in a group. Guy behind me was getting on my nerves as he'd continually be riding too close (couldn't see him in my mirror without leaning forward) and at an intersection where we'd have to turn, he'd leap out beside me instead of maintaining his distance and position. I'da said something to him but he kinda disappeared after we returned.
  7. I just did my upgrade too. I'm no stranger to ripping out the clutch either but I totally forgot to remove the flat washer that's on the inside. Got the one out but forgot the second one so, had to rip it apart again.... oh well, what's another 15 minutes anyhoo... LOL

I put the 130 tire on mine ... yes, it improves handling expecially at low speed but the bike is "squirrelly" on the slab. I'm going back to a 150 soon as I have a few extra bucks. I've also installed the levelling links... I like the effect. As for bike comparisons, I did the Harley demo days today and rode a Road Glide Ultra as well as a Electra Glide Ultra. Both had the 103 engine. Didn't care much for the fairing on the Road Glide. Gobs of power in that 103 mill. This will now be the 5th or 6th time I've demo'd an Electra and each time I do, I get closer and closer to wanting to buy one. If only I could afford it *sigh*. I am very impressed with the nibleness and stability of these bikes. They track very true on the slab and I felt way more comfortable in a high-speed S turn than on my RSMV. Creeping around a parking lot is also tons easier IMHO. For some strange reason, the Road Glide had more shake at idle than the Electra. As for the Shake on the Electra, it wasn't bothersome at all, in fact, hardly noticeable and once you got moving, the bike was very smooth. Now what did I do with that Lotto ticket????

Mike, tell me what you like so much about it. I am really looking fwd to demoing one on May 6th.
  10. About the only other thing that comes to mind that I sometimes wish I had is a Mig welder. Not that I'd use it much but there have been times when it would have come in handy. As for the second choice, gimme a paint booth and some quality equipment, including a few air brushes as I'd LOVE to experiment and learn more with custom painting.
  11. Oh, are they handing out gold stars now when ya sell a bike?

    Spring

Yep ... we had some of that white stuff but there wasn't enuf of it at our house to stay on the ground ... about all there was, was a bit of slush on our deck. I believe some other areas got more tho. It sure rained hard and we recorded the lowest low overnight temp ever for the date at zero celcius. Supposed to be nice starting today for the next several days tho and I put the insurance on the bike yesterday... woooo hoooo LET'S RIDE!!

May 6 is Victory demo days here... Nina & I will definately be testing out the CC ... I think they are a smart looking scoot when all decked out with the travel trunk, etc. Tomorrow is Harley demo days... yes, I'm going if for nothing else but to have a bit of FUN!
  14. YA... WHAT'S WITH THESE DANGED THINGS ANYWAY!!! In about 1981 I bought a '73 Buick Century 4 door plain jane car for $600. It had a dented in left rear 1/4 panel so I fixed that and painted it. Drove that thing everywhere for 7 years and tons of miles and never put a dime into it except for oil and tires. Sold it for $100. Bikes just aren't like cars! Now why is that?
  15. WOOOO HOOO !!! :thumbsup2:
  16. The whole world is going crazy with screwed up weather .... somebody UP THERE must have something against us BIKERS!

  21. :rotf: Are ya a bit bored over there Kerry (to come up with that)??
  22. If you're on the island, you must be getting better weather than us over here in Van. Crap, I'd swear there was some snow in that rain today. It's NOT NICE at all for this time of year! Temps running 4-5 degrees celcius below normals (that's 7-9 F)!
  23. It's amazing what a guy can do when he's ... WAAAAAAAASSSTEDDD !!
  24. Trevor, in your profile it says your wife rides a Vision... what kinda gas mileage is she getting? I've had my scoot for 2.5 years now and as far as I can recall, I don't think I've checked the gas mileage yet. Seems I started once by keeping receipts but somewhere along the way, forgot to get a few so couldn't calculate it. Maybe this summer on the trip to Cody I will attempt it again but for the most part, as long as the scoot is running good, I just put the gas in and ride.
  25. yo!!! stealin my pics are ya??? point to note, those are pics of a "G" basket ... which is what the dealer installed in mine when I asked them to install an "I" basket... so, lesson learned, don't trust the dealer to put the right one in.... go look at it yourself.
