1. My kit arrived Monday... hoping to install it this weekend. Will all depend on if we have nice weather or not. (if it's nice, I'll be riding!)
2. I use emery paper to clean the exhaust pipe coming off the Y. It's easy cause you just wrap it around and hold the two ends with your hands and pull back and forth. My RK's slipped right on all the way and there's no "pipe" showing between the clamp and the heat shield. I've read that some folks have had to take their mufflers to a shop and have the ends expanded a bit to get them on. Might want to try that.
3. Just buy Chevron gas... in has Techron in it ....
4. heck, people without permits park in the handicapped stalls around here all the time so you shouldn't have any problem ... except maybe to find an empty stall LOL
5. Not sure what you mean by "flag hour" .... Years ago, when I pulled wrenches, we worked by the Chilton's "flat rate" guide. It was not uncommon to get 12 paid hours of work done in a 7 hour work day.
6. OK, now I'm lost... what does AMEN stand for??? All Men E.... N... ?? what,,, what ???
7. Actually, I know that... was just "throwing it out there" as a remote possibility to the "clack clack".
8. I'd bet they have nicer weather than we do around here in Vancouver. Quite often I see that the northern regions are having sunny, warm days when we're cold and rainy
9. Is it a front wheel drive? If so, maybe it's the CV joint ??
10. You can get a standard (stock) height and cut it down to your own liking. It's relatively easy to do.
11. First thing I would do is go back to the shop that installed the tires and say something about it. When exactly did the shaking start? 3 weeks ago? yesterday? If it started 3 weeks ago then I'd suggest the shop messed up somehow. Did they pull any of the brake components off to inspect them? Shaky, shaky (the way you describe it) sounds like something more than just warped rotors. Does your brake pedal pulsate? Does the steering wheel "pulsate"? How really bad is this shaky,shaky... I'd have this checked out asap.
12. DITTO!!! and ain't it NICE for a change!
13. are you saying you actually sometimes DON'T wear a skidoo suit up there? (folks, he lives in a town that has "WIND" as part of it's name... and he wants to escape somehow!) ... ooops, I think I made a speeling error...
14. just look at the base of the carbs where the intake tubes are ... hard to miss... unless they're missing LOL

Check this link... http://venturerider.org/forum/showpost.php?p=566335&postcount=7 hope that helps some. -Rick NOTE: I edited the link to add some instruction.
16. congrats Rick ... our first is coming up 1 year in June. Dang time flys ... he's become a "person" now LOL
17. I don't consider anyone using anything beyond a tent or a tent trailer as being in the category of "camping" and that rig is about as far from that as you can get ... it's really a luxury home on wheels (albeit a tad smaller than most homes). (well maybe a small camper trailer still qualifies LOL)
18. :rotf: :rotf:
19. that last pic is makin me hungry for sashimi now...
20. Gary, are you without a left hand?
21. For what it's worth, and if you have MS Word or Open Office, you can select your text and choose Format | Change Case (Shift F3 in Word).
22. Some bike riders have the "look at me everyone" mentality.
23. I watched it from the comfort of my living room ... in fact, I saw more action than if I was there as a spectator. Personally I don't like going to such events (golf, hockey, baseball, etc, etc) ... just too many people, too commercialized, too expensive. I commented to Nina that all those spectators would be wishin they weren't sitting anywhere near the fairway, or even behind, when I hit the ball ... LOL!! It was an awesome tournament tho (and I'm not even a fan)...
24. Could someone post a pic or 3 of exactly where/how these backrests are mounted. I know it's under the seat but as the saying goes, a picture is worth 1000 words.... reason I ask is I'd like to build a cheap one to see if I will like a backrest before forking out over $200 for one.
