  1. well, i dont get on here for a couple of days, and look what has happened. Carl, we have to have a peameal breakfast and cackcleberries at the international meet. i will cook. everyone is picking on my handle, i feel so abused. and i tried to keep it Pg rated. there were so many Big this and Big that so i never went with Big Mother $^($@%. Hey Swifty, i have been to your house. Big Mike, steaks on the barbie for you buddy. Sweetnothing, i will cook for you anytime. Brad T, what can i say.
  2. thats one big mother trucker
  3. that works on the inside, but how do i clean the outside?
  4. i was amazed at how easy the front brake locked on my 86 venture. i am a big guy and i was a panic situation last September, a lady made a left in front of me and it was hit the brakes hard or pile into the passenger door. i locked the brakes and yes i hit the pavement. i have ridden for over 4 decades from dirt bikes, sport bikes, cruiser bikes, and now my sport touring bike. on one of my bikes i started to learn how to do stoppies, so yes i have a fair bit of experience. i tried to contact TCB numerous times by phone and have sent email and pm's, but i still have not been able to purchase the unit yet, so i cant help you with how they work. i am also changing the front tire to a different manufacturer, as i feel the rubber i put on last year is too hard, as it is designed as a high wearing touring tire. the tires i used to run, i had made a big panic stop one time and that front and rear tire did not lock up, i was impressed at the stopping power. i wish there was someway to add ABS to our bikes then they would be perfect.
  5. naw, if you seen his bike right now, you would say he is a butcher. hey Red, i did the same as you, the metal emblem on the side has two short nails holding the HD plate on. i removed the plate and gave both to a buddy with a Harley. i have had mine for a year and a half and find they are comfy womfy. cheers, Scott
  6. that would have scared me too having somebody that size knocking at my door in the middle of the day, but he was silly enough to let me in. coffee was hot, so we marched out and found Scamper and Blondie naked in their room. they look like they are keeping each other warm during this cold spell. Carl gave me a quick peek at Scampers bottom end, not a pretty site. always glad to visit a friend and hope the respiratory procedure on the couple goes well. we will be having peameal for breakfast, pork chops for lunch, and steak for supper. the pepperettes kept me company on the way home, there were a few left for a snack later. cheers, Scott
  7. just put a pair of road kings on my 86, i was so easy. i went to my local auto parts store and they had a piece of pipe with the right size ends and a 20 degree bend in it. i had to cut maybe an inch off one end. made a couple of brackets to hang the road king mufflers and all buttoned up real nice. cheers, Scott
  8. may Scamper rest in pieces.
  9. all my body panels are off the bike and being painted. the wiring is exposed as my bike is neckid. you and the boss are more than welcome to come and have a look to see what you need to do to make your system connected. cheers, Scott
  10. my cousin and his wife both wear them. they are on the road quite a bit and he didnt like when he was not wearing chaps. so they invested in the two pairs and they both highly recommend them. he rides a lot, almost 45,000 kms last year.
  11. was watchin "Bobby Z" and "30 days of night" on dvd with the family last night.
  12. i thought your bike was low on blinker fluid, and now look what you have gotten into. if you need an extra pair of hands give me a shout. better take the carb apart and check those diaphrams too, 4 diaphrams and still had a baby.
  13. free beer and i missed it too. sheesh
  14. maybe squidley and sweetnothing might want to adopt her.
  15. welcome back i knew you couldnt stay away from this site, see you soon. Scott and Sherry
  16. i bought it because of the extra luggage space on the 86 and up 1st gen. we were on a trip for 3 weeks last summer, never had to tie anything onto the trunk luggage rack. as for power, the 83-85 will pull away under hard acceleration (Bob beat me, the bongo one) but my 86 still lofted the front tire two people on the bike. i did that three times last year, it goes like stink. my 2 cents worth. cheers, Scott
  17. next time you want to plow some grass, i have a rototiller you can borrow. we will see you guys soon. Scott and Sherry
  18. i was there saturday 11am to 3pm. a buddy of mine rode to the show. i bumped into chubicheka and heard that swifty was there somewhere. that 1st gen trike was sweet, i should have brought my camera. bought some 3xl chaps a 3xl throat coat and some pepperettes(they were not as good as Carls). cheers, Scott
