While it might work fine in a pinch the only problem I see is unless your about 8 foot tall when you ride it up the ramp and into the chock is the chock going to hold the bike while you try and get off cause I dont think your feet are going to come close to touching the ground. I would hate to trust my wife for balance while I tried to dismount.

I bet the clocks ticking on this one.

Put on 1,200 miles by myself before letting my wife hop aboard. First thing she asked after we got off that first ride was "Can we take this to Florida?" Well, yes and no but really no. We would need a different kind of big, something bigger. So she said, "Then let's get one." Am I blessed or what? Aren't they great if your wife enjoys riding on the back of that Vulcan she will absolutely love the back of and RSV. 400 miles a day is a breeze and even more if you want. My wife usually takes pics while were riding in scenic country and has actually fell asleep and I never knew it till she asked me when did we go through Little Rock.

Avon Tire Question ??? Help ....
playboy replied to FuzzyRSTD's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Just wondering James you didn't mention it or I missed it but what kind of Tires are you running now. Sounds like you got pretty good mileage out of them were you unhappy with there handling or are you just price shopping. For me and I don't have the experience that most of these guys do but the Avon's made a huge difference in stock sizes to the ride and handling of my rsv. Just some food for thought if you haven't tried them. -

Yep been there before sometimes your the windshield some days your the bug. Sounds like a good time for a ride out in the middle of know where lot cheaper than paying a therapist and get your head cleared. For me sometimes I have to just step back and ponder. That's when my wife says are you ever going to fix that I just tell her I 'm working on it right now you just cant tell. keep your chin up momma said there be days like this she just forgot to mention they sometimes come one right after the other.

Another option after you get the crack repaired and prepped for paint hmmm might do this before you repair just a thought. Take your trunk to a automotive paint supplier by that I mean a shop who supplies to AUTO BODY shops let them computer match your color and mix you up a rattle can or spray can so you can paint the whole trunk any mismatch in color wouldn't be as noticeable. Had a friend who did this on his Freightliner to touch up some places and nearly perfect match.

Pics are coming I just cant keep the bike and the trailer together long enough got the hitch built and then had to take bike back to the dealer again for the water leak. Although it wasn't the same dealer twice was enough. Still have to build the receiver but that shouldn't take long once the bike is here and then the wiring got the stuff for that on the way.

Don't want to Hijack this thread but my 2nd gen got squirrely the other day when the speedo hit 120 with nearly new tires rock solid up to that point and I suspect wind buffeting around the trunk and bags at this speed. Also suspect tire grooves in pavement from trucks. P.s. dont tell the wife I did this I just had to find out what it would do but still dont know because it was still pulling hard. First time speed ever scared me.
