OK folks I want to go to the East TN to camp out next so I need to fix this quick. Back in March I started out to Norfolk on my bike got about 75 miles away and it stopped charging had the wife bring me the battery out of my other bike so I could get back home. Got back home and the bike was not charging took all the connectors apart cleaned them and the bike was charging just fine went another thousand miles and the bike was fine until I rode it to work one day and it was dead by the time I got to work. Charged the battery at work to get me back home, when I got home it was charging I checked the rectifier and it seemed to be a little out of specs so I replaced it with one Steel Horse Cowboy sent me (thanks again). Well today I pulled my trailer around for about 60 miles and I noticed at the red light I was not charging however when I turned off my driving lights it was charging again got it home and it was still charging but only about 13 volts. I have an extra stator (that Steel Horse Cowboy sent me) but I would like some confirmation before I dig into it. The voltages test fine when I have it loose but its not under load at that point. Thanks all and it sure is nice to be riding again. Joe

Good review, I agree with your evaluation I will add that my wife was not comfortable on the back but in all fairness we are rather large individuals. -
Manual says every two years or 16K and thats what I have been doing.

Prayers to him and the rest of the family hoping for a speedy recovery.

Looks almost like the one I photoshoped minus the trunk -
THe bike was in Southwest Virgina, I sent my brother an e-mail asking him to see if the guy still had it for sure and what his contact info is.

You have enough motor heads on here that I think someone could answer your question and no I would never pay for "online" advice about a car problem.

It would not start, seems the electrical was shot so did not want to fool with it. I think the guys still has it.

Check your connections, cables for pinches and water in one of the plugs. Also if you have the IC volume up too high it can happen too.

Went to my local Steeler today to see if they had speed bleeders and they did not same as with all the local auto parts stores, however they said they use a little tool that works great but they had just sold the last one. When I was getting ready to walk away one of the service guys said he had just bought one for the service dept but if I needed it he would sell it to me for half price since it was now used and he could get another one next week. Brought it hone and it worked great, still plan on getting speed bleeders but this will make a nice addition to my tool kit. Its hard to avoid anything any more, break down and buy one of the major anti-virus software's like Mcafee or Norton and a good firewall.
