I took the Motorcycle Safety Course on my RSV 2 weeks after I bought it, after that I had no issuses handling it at slow speeds.

I agree, on a bike and a car you do not need to spend much I have a $15 dollar craftsman I carry on the bike. Now if you are talking electronics thats a diffrent story.

Most likely there is a loose or dirty connection behind the fairing. I would suggest removing the fairing clean the connections put dielectric grease on them an reassembly. Do this to the connections under the trunk and seat also.

I just made new brackets out of a 1/4" x 3" wide aluminum bar from the scrape yard. Pushed them out just a little and they are very sturdy just food for thought. -

One year I was not supposed to be able to come home for Christmas but at the last minute I was able to get leave and go home. I did not let my family know I was coming so they got a big surprise for Christmas. It was also one of the last Christmases that the whole family was around.

Shifting points/ shifting points and "choke" use?

I hardly ever have to give my bike full choke at 30 degrees I just barley pull it out and by the time I am backed out of the garage I push it in as for shifting points I am usually no where near what the manual says.
