to have the dealer change out the rubber on the front, (removed from bike) do I have to also remove the discs from the wheel? I'm thinking not...but I want to be sure.

check your resevoir too....if it is more than 1/2-3/4 full, once it heats up it could cause the brakes to engage. or so I've learned from this site. Never experienced it myself. -
Rounding that corner or cresting that hill and seeing a sight you've never seen before. I live in a BEAUTIFUL part of the country with lots of lakes and beaver ponds, rock faces, twisties everywhere leading to little hamlets and villages that all seem to have a seperate personality. But most of all I just love the total experience. The sun, wind, thrills, calm....even riding in the rain is enjoyable at times! Sure wish my wife shared my passion. She "tolerates" going for a ride every now and then.

The access ports to the saddle bags are a cool idea! Never seen those before. (but I've lived a sheltered life) Looks like it would be great for the passenger to rummage around while riding.

Is that 1 3/4 too long when butted together at the peak or are you leaving a space for ventilation at the peak ? I would think the ideal would be only an inch or so of gutter being exposed ....but then it's not like I know what I'm talking about.

If you install LED bulbs to replace the original, wouldn't the purpose be to increase brightness but ALSO to reduce the load on the electrical system? If you have to install resistors to make it work, doesn't that negate the reduced load benefit???

pilot jets and sync'ing ?

BUT......the question that has not been answered is, as 59ndroy asked..... How do you know if 2 1/2 turns is better than 2 3/4 or 3 or 3 1/2??? "feel the exhaust" won't work so well with collectors. -
I just say "Thank you but I'm not interested" and hang up before they have a chance to say anything else. Hey! I am on of Jehovah's Witnesses....so I am use to rejection!

Might be a stupid question....but did you check that you have power on one side and that the other side is grounded? Maybe one side or the other does not complete the circuit. That's the only thing it can be!

I ordered one from Ron Ayers. -Thanks Raybear71 !! Total was ust under $100 for a Slipstreamer with a vent. (Delivered via USPS) I might get dinged for another $13 for taxes at the post office...but not the whopping brokerage fees UPS charges.

plus the black flies and deer flies driving them out of the bush!

Yeah...what's the idea of hijacking this thread to talk about trailer brakes! Especially after I hijacked the thread to talk about balancing trailer tires!!!!! so.......what were we talking about?

I need a windshield for my 88 VR:mo money: I looked up Clearview.... Acrylic, $213 plus Precision Plastics is Lexan, $161 plus a few on ebay for $120 or so... Any suggestions? I want an oversized one. 24" tall and as wide as will fit! What are the pros and cons of the different materials? (Acrylic, Lexan, Lucite, ?????)
-
Don't want to hijack this thread...but can you get the smaller tires like on these trailers balanced? Mine almost bounces if I hit 70 mph.
-
It could have been worse...it could have been beside SOMEONE ELSE'S bike....like a big nasty 1%er!!!!

I want to commend you for your efforts! I know it should be an outright donation....but as many have said times are tight and there is only so much "donations" to go around. Plus I don't really like to advertise my donations so the pins, badges etc are not of interest to me. I have contributed to a few of the folks with situations here without posting about it. That's between me and my creator. Again, I know the pins etc are secondary to the donation...but perhaps if you auctioned off "stuff" that we could use. brake switches, upgraded rectifiers, air horns, safety chrome etc etc Put a minimum bid of what you have into it and the profit can be the donation. That would require more work on your part and I realize it would only work with cheaply aquired parts...but might get you more contributions. just my
