  1. I have had my HID not ignite once or twice even though I flipped the switch. Don't count on the LED in the switch to be sure your HID is on. Always check your reflection and such to verify the HID is on
  2. Think I already responded to your PM Richard but just in case. Yours are in the mail Monday.
  3. See, That's the problem with 1st gens. You have to have three of them to keep one on the road.... You knew that was coming right ?
  4. They'll catch him in the next few weeks. They will probably be wiping him off the back of a truck shortly....
  5. You know you have been abducted.. You house has taken you.. Your not allowed to do anything but works and fix the house... Been there....Actually I think I'm still in that club. Good luck Brad. Hey let me know if you need a deck. I got those down pat. Built four and still building them..
  6. Just to let you know what your in for. The first day you stop altogether you'll be tired that night. The second day you'll get some stomach cramping and body aches. That night the RLS will start. You won't be able to get comfortable and get to sleep. The third day the hebejeebees start. That's what I call it. Its a rough time of feeling like your wrapped in tight gauze and cant' get it off. You have the feeling all the time you want to toss off a heavy coat but are sitting there in a t-shirt. That goes on for a couple of days and the no sleep continues. After they stop you'll begin to get some sleep but expect 2 weeks of horrible nights of sleep. About the third week you'll start to feel normal again. At the fourth week you should be clean and have your normal sleep and normal dreams back. None of these will be life threatening but they are no fun.
  7. The restless leg syndrome your experiencing is actually withdrawals from the hydrocodone (Vicodin). As maybe the headaches, stomach cramps and feeling tired all the time Tramadol is a made from the same stuff. If you quite altogether expect 5 days to 10 days of complete insomnia. I mean no sleep but maybe 2 hours a day. It takes about 20 days to get back to normal. I have been thru it a couple of times. You may need to talk to your doc about Sudone (something like that). But it is physically addicting also
  8. Carb sync first. Then see how it sounds..
  9. Sent you an email. Let me know.
  10. Now who said such a thing ??? You know there's UFO's too "Undesired Flight Observation"
  11. You got a shortwave on your bike ?
  12. Your probably not going to be making a bunch of calls but if you wanna play hooky one day and go riding tell work they can call you on your cell. You get a call and you can keep on riding and answer all the questions they got for you at work and they won't even know your on a bike.
  13. They will work on 1st gens DAN . Just let me know its a first gen and I'll make a shorter version of it. You first gen guys will have to use a cassette adapter to hook up the Zumo's line out. For those new, my cable hooks up the riders mic to the Zumo's or Certain Nuvi's "Mic IN". That way when you get a call on your phone (Bluetooth paired) it pops up on the Zumo, you select answer and just start talking thru you helmet headset mic.
  14. There just went the PG rating....:rotf:
  15. Thanks for the links. You can never have too many sources for electronic parts.
  16. I have to raise the price of the BuddyRich cable to 50 dollars. I have enough parts to do another 20 cables then after that it questionable if I will be able to continue . I use a specific transformer in the circuit and about six months ago radio shack stopped carrying it. That transformer is why you can talk at 80mph and the other person can't even tell your on a bike .So if you have been sitting on the fence about getting one of these you may want to go ahead and get one. It maybe up to three weeks after you order before I can get it out to you if I get a bunch of orders. If I can find a new source for my parts I may continue to make them. If so I'll update this post.. Thanks everyone. I really never made a dime off them but it was fun having something that only VR.org could offer to its members. ( I think that's the only reason Don let me hang around so long)
  17. I have an 05 and no problems with the switch. Be sure to use some graphite in the tumblers and NOT WD40.
  18. Armadillo's must be related to possum's
  19. I quit likin the taste of bugs a long time ago
  20. About 10 years ago I learned that same lesson on a Nomad. After about three hours my head hurt and I dreaded each time a cylinder fired as it was painful.Luckily it was fuel injected so I just had to put the Power Commander back to stock with a laptop..
  21. Yes, here's a list of the units that have a "Mic In" either on the unit or its mount. As long as the unit has bluetooth then you can also install my cable to talk on the phone while riding using your existing headset mic. https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=1445 Hit the "compatible devices " tab under the pic
  22. AMEN!!!
  23. Glad he's OK.
  24. Now you can remember the ride too..
