  1. Dang Blueslover...You need to get to Austin to VISIT your brother, also invite me along,if you can attract women like that we will REALLY get along well..Dont tell Debby!
  2. You will get a Love Or Hate them on this subject..I have a Corbin..They are a hard seat and regardless of what ANYONE tells you it does not get broken in at 3-4000 miles, you just get use to it.I needed it as I sweated to much on the other seat and it really was hard on the personal business. Now,my opinion I loved it from the start and still do,however my wife hated it so I had an upholstery shop rip the back seat forward to the driver seat, scrape out the hard foam and reinsatll a softer memory foam that really holds up well. The result,We are both very happy. Now next time you get to the Wimberly area call me and take mine for a good ride and you will see if you are going to like it.
  3. Take A very good Camera!..Have fun,it is beautiful. Tom
  4. And A Happy Easter to you also..And ALL the other Venture Rider Members.
  5. Goose, glad it is working out OK..I hope the Aluma MCT I bought pulls as good as you say yours does.I have to go to the freight dock Monday at 10:30 AM and pick it up. Ive never pulled a trailer with a bike before but I willl practice, practice, practice,AND USE A LOT OF COMMON SENSE! I think That is the key. I have my hitch on and lights wired so I am ready..May have to throw Debbys Dachsunds in it and see how they like it!
  6. One thing I have learned,it all depends on the way you ride..2 up,showing 60-65 on the speedo=41-43MPG,no wind..add wind 40 41 MPG. Riding 70-75 on speedo=about 39-41..Over 75 on speedo to 80-85, 36-38..over 85 forget it 32-35 max
  7. I have never changed the tire but YES get it Balanced, especially before you put Ride On in it if you use it.I use ride on but i get my tires balanced BEFORE I ever put it in the tires..It has saved me more than once..No glue on rims. On other bikes i have just put a blund end of a tool to the ede and tapped it a few tomes and it let loose fairly easy. Thats as much as I know!
  8. Pilot,I had my Avons shipped from Southwest Moto one of our vendors..was here in like 3 days, maybe 2??? Tom
  9. For anyone that has been wondering how the Diamond R Hidden Trailer Hitch looks and ease of install here it is..Remove 4 bolts that hold cross bar under rear fender,Remove the bar and reinstall the New bar that is the hitch and bolt it back together per the SIMPLE enclosed direction,( Reuse two of the bolts taken off and use the two NEW bolts supplied.) It is that simple and looks great. Seems to be VERY strong. Tom (Pics Attched)

  13. Eck,I will give you a set with 1700 miles on em...wouldnt recommend putting em on your bike though...they have chunks of rubber coming of the rear tire...May make a good fire! Tom. (Put Avons back on)
  14. Gary ,I am glad you are getting stronger..You hit the nail on the head, you and Bruce and a few others know about Debby and we had that long talk and basically She told me EXACTLY what you stated in your post.Ive ridden with you several times and enjoyed them all,We WILL RIDE AGAIN!! Debby included! We have shared several memories and without a doubt I am looking forward to more.Take care my friend!Tom
  15. If you develop an il leak it probably is overfiled a little..trust me I did it the first time I changed the oil.
  16. I am the same way...Just enjoy it,remember its different than the bike you just sold, keep it reved up for the power..I usually do not get into 5th till about 65. Tom
  17. VERY VERY Friendly..We went there and were treated great everywhere we went. At the motels we stayed at they let us park where our bikes could be seen etc. The foreign tourist,Chinese,Japanese and such were totally in AWE of the motorcycles, even went as far as trying to communicate they would like their pictures made with us,we did, and by the bikes..Yes we let em sit on the bikes and get their pics taken..I guess with all the chaps and other garb on they thought we were Cowboys?? Anyway it was VERY memorable. Tom
  18. Ive run one set of Avons and wore em out,had to put metz 880s on(All I could get at that moment and in a hurry)..only 1700 miles and they started coming apart, bought another set of Avons and that is what I wil buy as long as I can ride..UNBELIEVABLE handling difference.
  19. Congrats on the Garmin Zumo..after I recover from the trailer I bought I will be getting one! Enjoy It!
  20. I have trailered mine SEVERAL times and I cannot see how it would be stable like that..these bikes are VERY heavy and believe me you best have it secured in SEVERAL place or it will go over, and yes I have the set up where the front wheel is clamped to the Carrier, still has to be tied in vicinity of the handlebars extending outward towards the front . Tom
  21. God Bless him and his Family..I never met him but my heart is very heavy today..
  22. Only thing is the air cleaner covrs that are chromed....but you got to have K&N filters if you use these http://www.yamahasportsplaza.com/pages/catalogs/viewhotitemdetail/26/198/398/20081/1/0/1/0/0/0/0/0/billet-air-cleaner-covers.aspx
  23. One more thing,It is a 5 pin ROUND plug if it makes a difference
  24. Ok,I have read all the posts I can about wiring up a trailer. I am challenged on electrical. Here is the deal. I bought a new MCT trailer that has all LED lighting. Do I REALLY need an Isolator? If so what is the EASIEST one to put on. If it isnt REAL easy I will have to find a local member here in the San Antonio area that knows how to hook them up.Remember I am slightly color blind but my wife can help on that.It has the small round hookup plug if that makes a difference. Thanks,Tom
  25. Well,I happened to get hooked on it a few years back. I like to critique it even though I am not a pro, just believe it or not,I like to sing COUNTRY and OK at it.
