Installing DiamondR lightbar
Tom replied to gdebruin123's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
If all else fails call Allen at Diamond R..He stayed PATIENTLY on the phone and step by step guided me thru installing my saddlebag trim rail lights and trust me I am color blind and electrical is my BIGGEST weakness but he got me squired away! Tom -
Are you a Member of Sams Club? If you are upgrade for I think $65.00 and they have a great roadside assitance that covers motorcycles and RVS..It costs I think an additional $28.00 year, but it cover ANY vehicle you drive or whoever is driving one of your vehicles. I called them specifically about the motorcycle and YES it is covered also.... By the way,We are planning a trip to Ouray Colorado 8/24/08 and leaving 8/30/08. We will be at the KOA of Ouray,Co. So far about 10 couples are going and another 5 or so maybe. Seeing you are from there in CO. Love to meet up while we are there.Tom and Debby Hendry (phone in members list)

Well it may be of no interest to alot of you,but my favorite is Ride Texas Magazins. Not only do they do writeups about Texas but neighboring states and best,or top 10 roads in Texas every year. They have a vote by all the subscribers and others. Here is the Link if interested. http://www.ridetexas.com/ Enjoy it,but be forewarmed they do not do Motorcycle comparisons or Test Rides as they say not many are willing to loan a bike out to a smaller magazine. Lou,Please tell Gary that Debby and I are always thinking of him. We may not be able to get the motorcycle up there as she is having a time after her surgery but we are hoping to make the Venture Rider Rally up there in our car in July and hope to see him. Also he said you have a brother (I think) in Austin..when you get down here would love to take you and show you our area of Texas. Thanks so much,Tom and Debby Hendry

As soon as someone does a complete cost analysis on everything regarding E85 fuels there will be a lot of second thoughts on it. One thing that is already happening is prices on Milk, Dairy foods, meat etc, are going higher..some due to higher fuel prices(transportation) yes, but corn as a basis of the food group effects alot of things..feed for animals included. Then some say we are having a water shortage problem..where are we going to find more water? Other crop shortages because already some farmers are growing more corn for fuel puposes instead of their normal crops that were less profitable. The people I know that have e85 compliant vehicles do not buy it much as it is the same price as regular and they get 2-5 miles per gallon less mileage. Just my 2 cents
