  4. Hey Bruce...I aint showed you nuthin yet....EH!!!!! ..Enjoying the book about Canadians and how to make them think you are a local when you are there.....I have it down pat now..If anything is said about my accent I will tell em Im from South Canada..EH!!
  5. One more thing WELCOME to the site! Try and plan on meeting us at some of the get togethers..The next Big Annual get together will be in July in Ontario, Canada. My wife and I are going as we had a blast this past year in FT. Collins,CO..You will see alot of jealousy between 1st Gen owners and the far superior 2nd Gens but its all in fun. Besides I learn alot from watching the 1st Gens being worked on!
  6. At 5ft 9 I had issues but practice, practice, practice. Also when I replaced my tires and went to the Avon Venom 41 ft 42 rears It made a world of difference. Some on here have put on leveling links but my opinion is changing the tires does the trick...I know it sounds weird but all the people I know says the same thing. I have the stock size tires also, but some prefer the smaller size front tire. After you get used to it it will be all you expected I do believe. Tom
  7. I thought it was in San Antonio???

    TIRES

Ive never tried the Michelins but I have the Metz880s. The metz started chunking rubber at 1700 miles,i\I am a fanatic about checking air pressure,I could have had the dealer swap tires under warranty but I had Avons prior and figured I would go back to them..I will NEVER have anything but them,(Avons that is). They make the bike feel 300 lbs lighter and cornering is effortless plus they do not follow the road snakes,or cut outs in the road like my Dunlops did that came on the bike. You will find the majority of us are running either Michelin or Avons....At Ft Collins I was surprised at how many of us run the Avons. Tom
  9. I look on the Venturers site on occasion but never felt the need to join. Its not the money to join but Ive found alot of people I have met on here like Family. Tom
  10. Happy Thanksgiving to you Jim! THANK YOU for all you do for us ! Please tell all your friends over there we are always thinking of you guys! Tom
  11. You should be OK by January but if this is a trip you KNOW is going to happen Do it now ..... we went in April and by nightfall motels were filling up but I had reservations a year in advance. Tom
  12. Don,I had an order for 3...I paid for it on Paypal under Debby Parker. Is that my Bells under Tom Parker? If it is its OK,but my last name is Hendry....That was Debbys maiden name(Parker) Tom
  13. This shot is in Zion Natl Park...It is spectacular there.
  14. I did that same loop and we stayed in Kanab,UT and you can take in Zion and Bryce with plenty of time to look around. Nice accommadations in Kanab,UT. Then I would go on to Moab as you will want to spend a few days there. Also nice places there to stay. Tom
  15. http://www.cameraaddict.com/viewproduct.aspx?ID=3613090&l=ShopCartUSA I found this price on a Garmin Zumo550 includes shipping,$551.00 Seems like a good price.Tom
  16. Lowell,What you need to do is get that laptop and write a book on all of your journeys! I use a sprint wireless card for my ISP now because the only other choice I have is dial up and this is ALOT faster. Tom
  17. I would just go with the Avons too start with. I am 5ft 9 and the bike handles great with just the Avons. My opinion is it is overkill to do both. As far as handling PRACTICE PRACTICE,,,With the new Avons I can uturn fully cocked in any direction and ease it around,no problem.
  18. Reiny,Hope he recovers OK. Here in Texas we have a conceal carry law and I am so glad of it in todays times. I go nowhere without my 357 SIG. I hope I never have to use it but at 55 I cant rely on my size anymore. Here we have the MS13 gangs and they randomly pick an innocent bystander on occasion and shoot for no reason...As you say,"whats this world coming to?" And Debby has her license also and definitely isnt afraid to use it IF necessary.( I wouldnt want to be in her sights as she shoots about as good as I.) Yes I practice gun control....I hit where I aim! Tom
  19. I tip 15-20% IF the service is good. IF the service is BAD,I still tip.....only a penny though. Tom
  20. The jacket I use is the Joe Rocket Super Ego. It is leather and can be unzipped to reveal a mesh jacket for summer use...still warm but it may help if I hit the ground. http://www.ridegear.com/images/items/superegojacket.jpg
  21. Thanks Bruce! Keep us informed and let him know we are ALWAYS thinking of him. Tom And Debby
