  2. Doreen and I went to the Royal River Casino in Flandreau, SD on Saturday night. We saw a GREAT concert! On your feet or on your knees, ladies and gentlemen, Blue Oyster Cult! Eric Bloom and Buck Dharma from the origianal line up were still rocking out. They were joined by Rudy Sarzo on bass (formerly with Ozzy, Ronnie James Dio, Quiet Riot and White Snake), Richie Castellano, from Staten Island, NY, on guitar and keyboards, and Jules Radino, from Long Island, NY, on drums. It was a great time. they sounded as good as I remember the albums from back in the day. These guys were really on fire! :225: To top it all off, prior to the show, I put a $20.00 in a penny electronic slot machine and after the 20 free spins I won, I walked away with over $100 in profit! I did just what the Steve Miller Band suggested, take the money and run! The casino in Flandreau is booking some bigger name acts in an attemp to compete with a brand new casino in Larchwood, Ia. Both have had some good shows recently. We are looking forward to more. Hope everyone else had a good weekend as well! Dave
  3. Las Vegas Churches accept gambling chips? THIS MAY COME AS A SURPRISE TO THOSE OF YOU NOT LIVING IN LAS VEGAS , BUT THERE ARE MORE CATHOLIC CHURCHES THAN CASINOS. NOT SURPRISINGLY, SOME WORSHIPERS AT SUNDAY SERVICES WILL GIVE CASINO CHIPS RATHER THAN CASH WHEN THE BASKET IS PASSED. SINCE THEY GET CHIPS FROM MANY DIFFERENT CASINOS, THE CHURCHES HAVE DEVISED A METHOD TO COLLECT THE OFFERINGS.. THE CHURCHES SEND ALL THEIR COLLECTED CHIPS TO A NEARBY FRANCISCAN MONASTERY FOR SORTING AND THEN THE CHIPS ARE TAKEN TO THE CASINOS OF ORIGIN AND CASHED IN. THIS IS DONE BY THE CHIP MONKS. Never saw that coming did ya?
  4. We took a ride today from Omaha, NE to Sac & Fox Casino just south of Sabetha, KS and back to Omaha. It was a great day for a ride! Although I could have just as well thrown my money on the floor as soon as we arrived at the casino. On our way down there we spotted an 02 Black Venture at a Gas station in Nebraska City. I got a chance to talk with him a short while. He said he has been on this board, but not if he is a regular. Was it any of you? The next one was on hwy 370 in Bellevue, NE around 630p heading west. How about it. were either of these two from this board? Craigr

  8. My wife and I are going to be in Biloxi next weekend. Does anybody from down there know of a motorcycle rental close to Grand Casino?
  9. Wow, cabin fever has struck bigtime here in Minnesota. We just got back from Las Vegas where it was 78, sunny, and bikes driving all over the place. We were at Bass Pro Shop which is connected to the Silverton casino where I was gawkin at new boats. I went into the casino to find Laurie at the 3 card poker table and who sitting next to her but Paul Tuttle Jr. Mikey was a few feet away and Sr. was on his way to his room. Got a few pics and autographs......lots of fun. They were there doing a bike auction for charity. One of the bikes was a large mouth Bass.....unbelievable! My daughter had just turned 21 so we along with her boyfriend and my son were donating some $$ to Vegas. Anyway, my question is....has anyone here ever rode to the grand canyon? We are planning a ride there in June. Is it bike friendly? Any words of wisdom? (be nice) Thanks By the way, I just saw the forecast......6-9 inches of global warming for Sun-Mon Bob
