    Do a carb sync,if that doesnt help theres an article on more tweaking...mine and I guess all will have a pop on occasion after changing pipes but it is rare in my case.

    Yep gave me a check at local dealer authorized by Yamaha Corporate for $325.00...I feel they were very fair as they did not have to do that at all,especially aftermarket but it did irritate me when he said he only knew of 2 cases where shocks went bad...After pinning him to look at his backorders he has I think he said 7 in his region on backorder and No release date.

    Boomer, www.buckeyeperformance.com He is also cheaper,dont get me wrong the shock is EXPENSIVE talk to Rick there,but it is being built for my weight ,wifes wt., and cargo,trailer specs. Tom

    Ok guys as a few know I finally had my shock blow..Just sitting in the garage overnight then next morning BIG oil spot directly under the shock. Anyway I loaded it up took to Yamaha to be told its on backorder and has been awhile. MAD..I was fuming when they leisurely said "we dont know when they will be released". That isnt good enough for me so I called Yamaha Corporate and TRIED to be civil and finally told them I was gonna get the works performance shock..I knew they would not pay for it...Guess what,at least They paid their cost on a new shock and had my dealer cut me a check for that amount..Not the best deal in the world but at least I didnt have to pay for the whole thing. I may could have pushed the issue but I NEED my bike and I feel I am getting a much better shock.....Now I have vented AND given credit to Yamaha. Tom....By the way, A BIG THANK YOU TO RICK AT BUCKEYE PERFORMANCE FOR HIS EFFORTS IN GETTING ME SETUP AND MAYBE HAVE IT IN 2 WEEKS...MAYBE. Tom

    Same with me Blueslover..Ive been in quite a bit of rain on my Avons and MAYBE a little too fast in the rain but never slipped,AT ALL. Now ANY tire is gonna slip if the slightest bit of diesel , gas on the road..The only time I have ever slipped was crossing a low water crossing,(we have alot of those in this area and for whoever comes and rides here WATCH OUT for the green algae), But as far as Rain never.

    Reiny..I will not be able to attend due to that being the week I have to work,(I work every other week).That being said If the trailer raffle tickets are going to go forward and the tee shirt order I will do my part in the purchase of the shirts and raffle tickets.I truly wish I could have made it as I enjoyed last years Rally so much at FT Collins.And Thanks for the additional prize basket you won and gave to me! To everyone that is thinking it is something you just would not be interested in,heres my story on Ft Collins will be brief...I had originally planned on just the first 2 days in FT Collins thinking my wife would HATE it so that was my thinking..the end of the first day SHE said " Tom Why dont we stay the rest of the week?" "Everyone we have met have been the nicest people I have ever met!" THAT my friends is the truth,Even though I cant make the rally, Debby and I are planning on going to Canada to see our friends we met and HOPEFULLY some of you that live up there we haven't met..this will be after it cools here a bit. One thing I know is we will be around Woodslee and wherever Bruce (Ramblingman)lives. Gary look out we will be there afterwards! Tom

    Bill if you really get interested enough to buy I think this place is about as good of a price as you can get. I have considered it at times but if the reviews are correct that I read on the highway low 30s at 70 isnt for me. Nevertheless here is the link.     I hate riding in the rain but with that said I just slow a bit and keep my windshield wiped down with anything that will half way repel the water. If you are not use to the brakes PRACTICE PRACTICE ,some complain of the back brake being easy to lock up but I never had that problem as I use my front brake for probably 70 % of my stopping power. I have Avons on my bike and haveNEVER slippped in the rain,they hold very well and I have gotten in a hurry a few times in the rain..I know DUMB but I was outrunning an even worse hail storm. Snow one time in AZ but just wet snow and all was OK.

    OK,i have read an article hear about a Works performance shock,rear, and I have looked all over the internet and cant find anything close to that..My bike is still under warranty but I may go ahead and buy this upgraded unit and put it on instead...Someone please tell me where to get one or the part number so I can find one?     I did a trip close to that one,same vicinity,my recommendation is.....KEEP YOUR CAMERA BATTERY CHARGED OR CARRY A SPARE!!!. Tom ( If you get down towards the Grand Canyon,East side, a town called Cameron has some great food at what looks like an Indian trading Post ,Restaurant ETC . Food was excellent.)

    I replaced mine but had to pull the front part of fairing...NOW,some guys in here can do it by reaching in on the left side lower area..I can see the socket that holds the bulb but My hands are too big to get to it. Tom

    When you loose a rear shock will it still hold air pressure?( Mine is) Reason asking I know that when you change oil to NOT fill it over the half way mark on window and I am a slight bit lower than that but I have oil at base of rear shock? Thanks,Tom

    GARY,GLAD YOU DID IT! I was gonna try and bust my butt getting up there and surprise you and Lowell but I started my day at 2 AM this AM and VERY tired so hopefully I will get to Canada soon,Tom. Off the next 8 days now and need it!

    I stayed with the stock sizes on Avons,no leveling links and that alone made a world of difference. Some go to the smaller front tire but personally with the Avons and stock size it made a world of difference in handling.

    I will when they put some up to date features on it....I like the bike , sometimes just want something new so I tried a HD Ultra for half a day and while it IS a great bike with LOTS of REAL gauges ETC,It has its quirks too( Not meaning to bash,just my observation)The first thing is the EXCESSIVE heat it puts out,especially on the passenger,the other VERY minor thing is it does not ride as well as the RSV,(Close)however the handling is much better.That part is no big deal as the RSV I have is absolutely no problem after I put Avons on years ago.The last thing is power,it has a LOT of torque but going up these hills here in the hill country it was disappointing after the RSV.Bottom line....They ALL have there Quirks.     Lowell,I know I didnt try to entertain you BUT,YOU are pretty entertaining! We really enjoyed your visit and hope to see you again,as Debby says,"Hes a cutter" I think that means entertaining and a blast to listen to! I personally enjoy the knowledge you have on the bikes,I learned alot. Did the Grip Puppies work on the Kawasaki? By the way,I dont care if Im on your friends list.....I am in your GPS! Tom
