If I were you I know from experience that it should not be doing that...Check the rear shock as mine went out but it still holds air and it is kinda squirrely when I corner hard so I am taking it easy till my new works performance shock arrives. Tom (Look for oil at the base of the rear shock)

I have run the Dunlop 404..Was a good mileage tire,my complaint maybe due to the way they groove our roads in Texas is that the Dunlops follow the grooves giving a VERY uneasy feeling ,like a wobble,going thru them. I HAD to put on a set of Metzeler 880s due to a ride I had to go on starting that day,no choice, while they handled GREAT after 1700 miles I started chunking pieces of rubber from the rear tire.( I know some of you have had no trouble,but the majority here have had the same problem), I put Avons back on and I will NEVER change back to another tire,they hold good in the rain,corner fantastic,have a higher rating than any MC tire I know of,and just by touching the tire alone it seems to run cooler. (The metz if you touched the rear tire after running prolonged speeds of 75-80 were so hot you could not hold your hand on the tire it was so hot.) NOW, SOME on here do not like the Avons but I do and I again will never go back to any other tire. I als run the stock sizes which improved the handling hands down.I do not use leveling links neither. Just my opinion so all I can say is come to Texas and take mine out for the day if you want to try them. Tom ( I run the pressure indicated on the sidewall and have 6-7000 miles on this set and showing no wear.)

I wouldnt use the slime..I think it says ,or I have heard it will corrode the wheel..I ordered ride on anfd got in in about 4 days. Tom (I use slime in my zero turn mower and YES it works..)

I went to Ft Collins Rally last year and am from Texas,not much in altitude, In Colorado went up to 12,600+ feet numerous times with only an occasional pop as far as power really didnt notice that much of a loss. Tom

Moakster..Make sure as someone mentioned to wear off that slick mess that is on the tire when new..I actually take sand paper and sad all the area hoitting the road when they are fresh..I know thats overboard but after V7 going down on a fresh set of tires and I felt it on the way home after install,I got tire religion FAST. After that mess is off the tire It handles like a dream thru the curves. The Dunlops I had only one complaint and that was when I hit the road snakes the dunlops were trying to ride in every groove,the Avons you can(Not Advised) let go of the handlebars and it will keep a staright line thru those roadsnakes.( when construction crews scrape the road and leave all the squigley grooves)

My opinion Only Don,Run what it says on the sidewall,max pressure. Some say Avon says add LBS,in my opinion that is that persons opinion,I think Avon did research in a lab to determine Max pressure. Again,That is my opinion. (also works great for me at max pressure on sidewall)

OH One more thing..Quit turning our FOOD into Fuel..Just got back from the grocery store...OUCH..Rice is being limited to only 4 bags at Sams Club..good think zI am not that crazy about rice. Anyway its all good to share ideas.

I think drilling would help now..If we would have gotten the bill to pass in I think 1991 to drill in Anwar we would have had oil pumping today..that was the argument in 1991 that it would not help us because it would be at least 10 years to go online. Also if we started drilling our own I THINK it would make the oil producing countries wake up and figure out that we will not be held hostage by them any longer. I also agree that yes we need to findother energy sources but we candrill SAFER than ANY other countries yet they are already drilling off our coast right now. This is in no way meant to start a political debate because alot,the majority of the oil prices are the people on Wall Strret speculating the prices driving it up. As Conder says I pity the poor family just starting out as it has hurt us also. Tom

Glad you are with us either no bike or any bike! Tom..Everytime I get the urge to think I want something different I go and test one..NOTHING AT ALL against wings but had to go try it today..Nice but it just is not for ME! Very nice though but I realize I love my RSV alot more now.

Why do I have a feeling this is going to grow??? I have a feeling we may be having a few ride there,will see. Lowell would be a pleasure riding there with you. So I am assuming weather will be OK as far as snowy?
