oldguy(Will) is the one in North Bay that has the parts. He has a bike and parts he is selling but says I could have the extra pieces. So far he says he has a rad and the black dash parts for radio & C/B, he is checking to see what else but these are the 3 things for now.I'm not sure if you would be able to carry these without damage to the rad or mostly your seat. My friend from work say's he would be willing to go with me if necessary so we could have a ride.I'm not sure what to do yet.I am waiting to hear back. Thanks!!!!!!!!

Finally got bike back from shop after replacing front and rear pulleys and drive belt on my 2000 Road Star. Boy do I miss my 87 Venture more and more!Have sunk more money and downtime into this bike in the 2 years I have owned in than the 7 years that I had the 87! Still looking to repair the87 but not too much luck in finding parts or parts bike--every time I do it is gone before I can contact about it,,then I hear that someone finds one really cheap later. I do have a line on a few parts but they are in North Bay and may have to take a ride on holidays to get them.

Thanks guys and I wish my wife could see that it would be better to fix my 87 Venture Royale than sink all this money into a bike I just like and not into the bike I REALLY LOVE I also loved the shaft drive! Still looking for parts to fix it.

Broke a second drive-belt on my Road star in a year &3months- a week ago Just got it back Fri. but now it needs new pulleys as they are worn and that is why the belt broke(mechanic).Got 30,000 or so on belt that broke spring of 09 and 20,000 or so on this one. Other shop says not to ride with the new belt and old pulleys and mechanic that changed it said I could?????????? Phantom wife says fix it (so no replacement bike to fix old 87\\for now)Have to wait till Tues. to see how long to get back pulley(on back order)Back pulley is $432can and front is $122 plus 3 1/2 hrs labor

Hey dingy just notised this post as am on midnights and wasn't able to check as much as I would like. Are there any of these tools left? Could us if I ever find fairing parts to rebuild my 87,but might be close enough to the tool needed to adjust head bearing on my 2000 Roadstar(different tool number but you never know) If there are any available please let me know and I will Pay Pal you. Also hoping to see my tack's in mail this week! Thanks in advance! -
I have a 2000 Roadstar Silverado 1600 and love it(still miss riding my 87 Venture) It is an easy bike to work on and like was mentioned it is a low revving bike and does hit rev limiter too soon when having fun rides. All in all good bike --good luck!!!enjoy the ride!!

Just checking in to see if you got my address and information I sent ?
-
Im fine with buying from you since you are one of the group and $.25 shouldn't be enough to make anyone change orders

I agree they are GREAT horns as mine also saved my but a few times also. \unfortunately I went to use it one day last year and it sounded like a dying cow so I had to hook up old horns and you can hardly hear them over my exhaust while idling(have Vance@Hines on Roadstar) so am saving up to get another for my bike before it goes on the road again.

Can I still get in on the buy? If yes I would like 2@$40.50 priority U.S.P.S. (this is U.S. dollars right?) Please send info for proper way to pay

Also maybe replace stock fork brace with the much thicker aftermarket one. Seems to help with high-speed wobble some bikes get. -

Went out for an afternoon ride to-day.Only -6 by radio. Was out for about5 hours went for coffee with friend then went home to do things around the house for tomorrow then went out for supper. It was great getting out and wasn't actually not that cold on the bike. It seemed colder when off bike.Wife still thinks I was nuts.

Loose out again! Seems every time there is a deal I am too far away to take advantage of it. Oh well maybe next time something will come up again. -
Am working midnights now so rode to work Mon at 10:30pm and came out at 7am Tues. morning to icy roads and snow on the running boards. Roads were too bad to drive home and as you would know it my BACK-UP RIDES I had lined up to give me a ride home so I could get my truck and trailer to pick bike up later had GONE HOME with-out even asking if I still needed a ride!!! So made it a couple blocks to Tim Hortons for a coffee(Harley rider who put his away a month ago followed me there) and called a cab to go home.
