  2. Headsets are already spoken for, by 2 separate people!! Cords by 1 person. may be 1 more cord available if #1 only wants 2... EDIT: All 3 cords are still available for you Wing guys. Also available, a Garmin Zumo 450 with the extra RAM mount for the bike. Also has the suction cup mount. Never mounted on bike, only used a couple of times in the cage. Have the box. Asking $400 OBO...
  3. We visited with Alice Gorom this weekend and she gave me some things to sell for her that James had bought and never used. EDIT: Headsets and Cords gone! Electrical Connection 1 Heated Grip Kit for GL1800, new, asking $45 PM me for additional info, more to follow...
  4. Lookin' Good, Lewis!!!
  5. OK you have a 2 coil pickup system. There is a connector halfway up the rear section of the frame above the voltage regulator that sometimes gets dirty connections and craps out. The tach gets it's signal indirectly from one of these pickup coils. Also, as mentioned, your TCI may be giving you problems as well, either from bad connections, or moisture inside the box. The TCI is located under the coils, and can be relocated on top of your airbox...
  6. OK here's my contribution...
  7. Uhhh, no, they make cords that plug into the bottom of the IPOD and the other end plugs into the accessory plug. The audio is just a male to male 1/8" stereo cord plugged into the headphone jack and the cassette deck, but that adapter will work as well. Hey, free shipping...
  8. Yea, Riiiiight!! Are you sure your dislexia isn't acting up again and it's really 27?????
  9. Brrrrr!! Only 34 degrees out at 7:00. Think I'll wait a while before I leave!! May even wear my fleece lined jeans AND my chaps...

  13. 1st Gen started out as "BIG" but became "Goldie" 2nd gen is "Sexi 2 Timer," 2 timer because it is a 2nd gen and my second Venture
  14. Sooooo, does this mean you are going to be retarded... errr... I mean retired now???? I'm sure we can all do a moving party when the time comes!
  15. Your problem could very well be the connector that the pickup coils plug into that sends the signal up to the TCI. Have you replaced plugs and wires yet?? That could be part of the problem...
  16. You're very welcome, Brian!! If you need anything else, let me know, I've got a ton of 1st gen parts I need to get rid of...
  17. Front end wobble in 1st Gens is caused by a number of things, and none being the cure all. Tires will help, as well as wheel bearings, but don't forget fork bearings as a possible cause. The fork brace can, and should be, replaced with a "Super Brace" or equivilant stronger brace. There is also an anti wobble washer available thru Skydoc as well as other sources. The front forks are fed by a common aqir line so the air pressures will be equal. Not to say the font forks could be rebuilt with progressive springs to improve handling...
  18. It's a big MAYBE, Tom. I'd have to get up awfully early to make it, and would probably take my own route to Waterloo. I put a post in Wizard765's thread to see what his timetable is...
  19. OK Sunday Becky is going to a bridal shower as #2 daughter finally got her ring!! I'm not going, but Big Tom is going to Central NY, but I would have to leaqve here by 7:00. How close will you be to the peace bridge and what time?????
  20. There is a slight downside to mounting the mirrors to the brake and clutch master cylanders. When the handlebars move, so do the mirror. If you have gotten used to the fixed fairing mirrors, it's a little unnerving to have your rear view move when you make a turn and want to check at the last second...
  21. Geee, Goldie only has 18K and I'd take 6K for both the bike and trailer...
  22. So far Potato Creek seems to be the only place with volunteers (plural)...
  23. I believe the green connector you are refering to is for the California Emmissions version which is not used in all other models. The California version has a "C" designator in the model. Your turn signal problem may very well be from the 4 way flasher circuit. If your 4 way flasher switch is not pluggede into the connector, you wil have no turn signals...
  24. If you want to brighten up your rear light, disassemble and paint the Gray part WHITE! Last time I checked, white reflects all of the light spectrum, whereas silver is a variant of Gray, which is light black, which absorbs light...
  25. OK a lot of parts ARE interchangeable but a lot isn't as well. The big difference is 1200 vs 1300 motor, but most, if not all, of the covers are interchangeable. The Brakes are not interchangeable, but the hydraulic clutch parts are. Body parts are mostly interchangeable but some require switching other parts as well. Any MK1 can be updated to a MK2, with some parts changing. As far as the wheels and rims, yes, but you have to change the rotors. What specific parts are you looking in to???
