Yup, rear frame and crash bars have to be swapped out as well but it is "bolt on." Fairing pieces are interchangeable but you have to use the MK2 engine crash bars to use the front chin... Wiring harness should be pretty much plug and play, but you may already have the connectors for the class system on your harness. There is a difference between the cruise control on the MK1 and MK2 and the pieces mount a little different, but the main harness should be the same...

Yah! Buy a RAM mount or equivalent for a Tom Tom. I wouldn't trust the suction mount any further than I could throw it... -

No, I have 3 pairs BESIDES the ones on Goldie. Goldie is no where near a dead issue. As a matter of fact, I asked Chuckles aqbout uper and lower fairing pieces but I was too late. I have one pair of MK2 grab rails but they are needed for the '85. I have a ton of extra parts I have accumulated over the years for 1st gens, but am cleaning house. Only keeping what I need for the '85 for it's restoration which will be starting next year... -
Which dealer are you going to?? Hannigan recommended the one in Middleburg north of Harrisburg very strongly to me. I'm having mine done next spring...

I have 3, count them, three sets of passenger grab rails for a MK1 up for "Grabs" if anyone needs them. These are all virtually rust free and in very good shape. Also, I have a pair of stock horns available as well. There's a lot of 1st gen parts I will be getting rid of in the coming months...

Well, the first obvious thing, is the headphone switch off?? If it is on headphone rather than speakers you won't hear anything thru the speakers. Second, you did remember to rehook up the din cable from the CB to the power amp??

Does your fuel light come on when your turn your key on?
bongobobny replied to LilBeaver's topic in Watering Hole
Yah! that's what I was just thinking, the yellow "Engine" light DOES come on. Are you sure you aren't mistaking it for the fuel light? It is physically located just above the low fuel light... -
OK the Garmin is now sold! The only thing left is the electric handlebar grip kit. This kit will probably work on pretty much whatever handlebars you want to install them on. I may buy them myself...
