  4. Hmmmm!! May watch it!! Also, if you watch the Sturgis episode, or was it the episode that Frankm snuck off to Sturgis, there is also a maroon (I think) 1st gen in the crowd shots for a split second you can see. There is one of the newbies thinks it might be his as he was there...
  5. Oh BOY!!! Another puppy to get all riled up when we visit!!!!!
  6. Welcome aboard!!!
  7. All right Lewis!! Good deal! The 3rd part of the equation is the 14mm master cylinder....

  10. Welcome back readers to today's edition of AS THE WHEELS TURN brought to you by Ex Lax for the times you wanna go but you just can't go cause we all know we all gotta go!!! In today's episode Bongo Bob is shopping in a "Manly" store for tools and building supplies! As he is looking at floor tiles his good neighbor and friend Motorcycle Tom just happens to be in the store as well and spots Bongo. Hey Bongo, that was one heck of a party you pulled off in Toronto, how did you ever manage it?? Amy and I had the time of our lives! Sure was good seeing the Canada crowd again too!! Whatcha buying?? Bongo showed Tom the great looking tile he had picked out for the entrance way of his place, and the really nifty wet saw he was buying as well. This wet saw is sooo much better than the old scratch and snap cutter I used to use. Now I will be able to do complex cuts and it will make the bathroom and laundry room so much easier to do! Hey, have you noticed a rather strange beat up old blue convertable in the neighborhood lately? Seems as if it's been around for a couple of months now. Bongo is about to tell Tom about Lt Palumbo when there is a loud crashing sound from the isle next to them. They immediately rush to see what had happened. As they get to the next isle they see... Just what did they see?? Will Tom ever find out about Lt Palumbo? Will Becky be happy with the tile Bongo picked out? Just what is MC Tom buying at Homer Blowes?? How is Bongo ever going to pay for all these things he is buying for the home??? Stay tuned for further developments on AS THE WHEELS TURN!!!
  11. We are pros at that!!!
  12. Yah!! Plus 1 on replacing the clutch! The stock clutch is one of the weak points on the RSV to begin with, and any trike conversion is going to add weight and put a little more strain on the clutch so replacement was one of the best things you can do!!! The next thingyou might want to consider is improving on the brake system. I personally found the Hasnnigan rear brake system to be very poor but I was victim to one of the earlier setups with the rotor/pad combination that completely burned out the brakes in about 300 miles or so. Their current setup with the cross driled rotors is an improvement but if you want real stopping power especially 2 up hauling a trailer on the interstate you need to go to a bigger master cylinder and Honda Civic calipers and rotors...
  13. Good luck Tom...
  14. Dang Gary, don't let any grass grow under your feet, do you?!!?
  15. WOW Joe, sorry to hear of your misfortune!! Hope it all comes out OK in the end...
  16. I've had in my lifetime many memorable Christmases, both good and bad. For some strange reason, Christmas '69 comes to mind. I was stationed in Viet Nam with the 101st Airborne Division at Camp Eagle, and the Bob Hope USO show was coming to Camp. I worked in the (dis)Orderly House and someone had to be there at all times. I had seniority over several of the workers but I felt sorry for them and wanted to give rather than receive, so I volunteered to miss the show. I guess I must have impressed the Master Sargeant, as an hour or so later he came in and insisted I go and I better hurry up and get over there because the show was starting in a few minutes, and he would watch over things...
  17. Yes, the power band for these engines is the 3K to 5K range...
  18. For carb covers that say VentureRider I would even pay for them!!!
  19. Good luck EVER getting into 5th at 31 mph!!! I'm thinking those shift points are with the idle around 1000 and never touching the throttle, on a downhill slope!! More realistic conservative driving would be shift to 2nd at 20, shift to 3rd at 30, 4th at 40, and 5th at 50. I shift when it feels and sounds like time to shift. Many riders with the stock differential (not the vmax differential) will tell you 5th gear is pretty much useless under 60. As far as choke use, myself I start it with full choke and let it warm up full choke for about a minute, then choke off and on my way...
  20. Hoping every day is better and better for you Paul!!!
  21. There was a guy in PA that was doing it for $800 exchange but you had to bring the bike to him. The cost is pretty much what you can find the rear differential for...
  22. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Lonna!!! Brad, you better treat that special lady of yours EXTRA SPECIAL, she deserves it!
  23. How about if husband and wife have the same initials they win???
  24. Nice cruise!!!!!
