  1. thats nice . happy riding and if your other half is like mine then youll have to keep her away from the shops now that you have more room. David
  2. this is were I put mine. Its a first gen but it might give you some ideas. David
  3. now for me Im looking at the olympus series cameras. They are water proof to 10 or so feet, freeze proof to 14 dgrees and shock proof up to a 5 ft drop. These are features I want for hunting and they are of the slim style you are talikng about. All of these features are also good for the bike. When the wife and I ride there have been several times when she has had to pull over to put the camera up because it started raining. David
  4. not sure where you are going but what about finding a vr member that you fill you can trust in the area you are going to be parking and see if you can set up a place and time to meet and drop off the weapon. Pick it up on the wya out.I know I would be happy to do it for you if I was in that area. I do believe its a bit south for me. David
  5. no pics were taken,,I really didnt think of it as it was only about 80lbs. Had 7 deer in front of me and this was the one who stood still long enough for me to take an ethical shot. If I would have realized he was that small I wouldnt have taken him I was a little excited. Between work ,riding and balancing time with the the wife also I only get about 3 -4 days a month in the woods .I only try to take about 2-3 deer a year as any more is a waist for me and the wife. Unless I find someone in need .The hunting buddiers and myself usually do that .We find a family that is in financial need near christmas and fill there freezer and then fill their pantry with nonparishable goods. If we find that family Ill take a few more out. Its easy with a rifle . Set back and watch so to speak. And yes I have been persistant but cant say that it hasnt been discusting during the last eleven years as I have missed more thanmy share. Only reason I kept up the faith was being able to spend time with my hunting buddies. Ive became attached to them and one is in his 70's and is just like a dad top me. Ok later all David
  6. After 11 years of hunting with a bow I fanally got a deer today. Not much to talk about in size as it was a button head buck , but I was on cloud nine. Just doing my part here to help keep these pesky critters off the road. David

  9. congrats on having such a good friend thats kind enough to let you ride his. Have to admit Im jealous as Im starting to go into dt from no riding till I can get mine repaired. David
  10. actually it wouldnt involve a lot of time. Pic a nice sunny day with no rainin site. Pull out your airbox and reach in there and unplug the original cdi. There is enough wire to relocate the cdi to the top of the airbox. Recomended anyways. For temporary leave the original where it is and plug in the second cdi on top of the airbox and go for a ride. If it works you got 30 minutes or less in the whole project and you know if the backup box is good or not. David
  11. dont reallt know what to say my friend. Prayers sent for you and yours as they go through this with you. The father also gets a few too . Hope you mind and emotions heal well my friend. David
  12. If the J&M setup yopu have is like mine you should see an inline connector to each speaker. You should be able to simply disconect the speakers by seperating the conectors by pulling them apart. David
  13. When I took the airbox of of my 91 it would start and idle but bog down as you described. Put the air box back on and all was well again. David

  16. for me it doesnt matter if Im in a cage or on 2 whells. No alcohol for me.Im the one who get drunk sniffing the top/cap. After they are parked its all good. Now as a friend and brother to the ones I ride with I do feel its my job as both to say hey youve had enough. Ive had too many loved ones hurt or dead because of drinking and driving. my half sister by blood is in a wheel chair with her left arm missing and her right leg missing. I dont presuume myself better or worse than anyone else. Just a conserned friend. Now if they dont think Im wright I back off.maybey I am wrong . On a few times I have been wrong and after the tempers fell we talked it out. Im not the one to kill the party, but I want be the one to kill a friend because Im not willing to loose that friend by speaking up. Ok nuff said by me and hope no toes were stepped on as if it was any of you out there and I was beside you and I didnt think you were safe to ride /drive / and in some cases walk I would say so. So now with that said I think Ill go make a white russian and add a shot of butterscotch snops. later all david
