I've got a wierd question
painterman67 replied to Dragonslayer's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
you guys made me go outside and look for nyself. With the key in locked position all the way to the left the lights are on. One click back and the lights go out. I knew it had a lock but didnt know it would light it up too. I had a 87 vfr interceptor that would do that . I came in handy on e night on the highway as iot broke down and had me stranded on the side of the road in a dark lit area.A fellow actually stopped to help as he seen the lights without the head light and stopped to see if I kneeded help to get a new headlight. I hear ya, I dont much like pulling my trailer in the rain either, but it does happen. Got caught out in the rain on the way home from Maintenence Day. It was a little slippery but i think that was from the fact that it hadnt rained enough to get the oil of the road yet. But do what makes you comfortable. Its your ride not ours. David

Name of Restaurant Ikaros Street Address 4805 Eastern Avenue City Baltimore State or Province MD Website (Optional) - Quality of Food Fantastic Quality of Service Fantastic Biker Friendly? (Parking, Trusted Location, Etc.) - Kind of Food? (Mexican, Chinese, etc.) Authentic Greek Cuisin Alcohol Served? Yes Additional Comments didnt answer the biker friendly ? Not sure of parking or trusted area as I was in that area for my brotherr in law's wedding. We took a shuttle from the motel to the resteraunt so I Greek food. So what are the palns for Saturday? The wife and I are thinking of coming down for the day if folks will be around. If everyone will be going their seperate ways or out on day rides we may just wait till the next ride. We would be there fri but we have a wedding to be at In DC area on the 9th so all my vacation time and funds will be used there. David

Now come on peaple. Youve never seen this woman and already throughing the fat jokes. now Ill admit that a few were a little funny but lets hope she doesnt see them and know its about her. I know its all fun and games but being fat all my life the jokes can be extremely hurtfull. So lets bare this in mind please. Now as for riding 2 up me and the wife ride together and we are pushing 450 -500 lbs togther. Had to ASK HER PERMISSION TO SAY IT.We do this with no probs on my 91 VR. Good luck as if shes a friend it wouldnt be for long if you say shes too fat. Please if that is the case then be a little more diplomatic. david

Never ridden a second gen. Kinda scared to. I already have an itch for one so If I ride one just might have to get back in debt. But as for wich one is faster it all depends on whos willing to twist the throttle more. As for me I really dont care as long as I love what Im on. David

no they are not the sameas the 1st gens. The first gens have a space issue under the radio and they use a 90 degree angled plug. David

Does anyone rebuild TCI's
painterman67 replied to stevej's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=2598&title=-2a-2a-2a-parting-a-9026amp-3b-91-vr2a-2a-2a&cat=6 check out the above link. Its an add in the calssifieds. At the bottom of the add is the guys number . He rebuilds them . Last time I checked he will rebuild and ship yours back to you for $185 or hell send you one( not sure of price) and then refund you your core charge. Till I found a working unit I was going to send him mine. Still may send it to him to be rebuilt and have 2 so as to have a spare. I just noticed he is a supporting member so you can Pm him too.His profile name is at the begining of the add david -
Do all of you really put the bike
painterman67 replied to Cruser's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I usualy adjust mine on the center stand. It seems to give me the effect Im looking for more consistantly. Now I did adjust it once on the side stand when we were trying to get it in sleeperhawks garage and needed it to stand up a little straighter. I let all the air out and she stood wright up. David -
prayers added to whats been already sent. And you guys are not lke fa,ily. You ARE family and dont hesitate to ask. When this group gets together in prayer things seem to happen. David

2nd genI think . Look at the side of the each cylinder. I thought something looked weird so I went outside and compared to my 91. It took a bit but I finally noticed the bolt holes in the pic. Isnt that for the side covers? My 91 doesnt have those bolt holes. David

I was thinking more along the lines of archery equipment. Like what would be used for hunting . But those are pretty bikles. David

painterman67 replied to Semi-retired's topic in Poor Man Tips and Fixes
what about uni filters or highflow filters? both name brand aftermarket and I think are foam cleanable and reusable after oiled like a k&n. David
