    when I first bought my trailer(homemade) it pulled terrible behing my 91 vr. Did a little checking and the toungue was 43 inches from ball hithch to axle and axle was 48 inches wide. Toungus was way to short for my liking. So I added 4 ft to the lenght of the trailer and now it pulls great. Total lenght of tounge is now just over 91 inches long. I am thinking of putting an extra tupperware type tool box up front to lock up jackets and helmets and the like. Its raining cats and dogs wright now so when it stops Ill add a pic. David

    Went for a ride on the bikes to see the in laws. They live in hvelock so we figured we would get up with everyone on that side of the world we knew. Could only reach a few and a few of them were wanting to go for a ride. Laura and i met up with Wayne and brandy ( aka Salty Dawg and krome rose) for a nice ride from Havelock to Beaufort. Brandy and Laura went antiquing and Wayne and myself went down to the water front for a bit of eye candy. I swear all we were lookking at was the giant boats. Yeah thats my story. Then had a nice lunch /dinner at the dochose before the ride home. Wayne and Brandy we were really happy to see you guys again and had a ball .     OK after I calmed down a bit, i did a little research on the American Pit Bull. Yes it was bred as a fighting dog,but not the type most of you think. It was originally bred to use in a bull baiting fight/ After the crowd grew tired of the fact that ot took to long to kill thew bull they started using bears and the like to make the kill a little quicker. Yes they were bred as a fighting dog. So was the Bull Mastive, dobermine Pincher, rottweiler and many other such breds. Because of these terminations many peaple have has to either give up their animals that have never been agresive or give up their homeowners insurance. I am one of such peaple. I currently have a sheperd/chow mix and a sheperd/hound mix in my fence. theyve never even offerd to bite anyone but my insurance company gave me the choice to get rid of my dogs or get a new policy somewhere else. The 2 guys are family members . They are also both because of the sheperdmix and chow mix on the agressive dog list. NEedless to say I havbe a new insurance policy. I've also had Boxers,Pit bulls,Rottweilers,dobermens ,and full booled sheperds. So yes this is a touchy subject to me too. You feel strongly about how they shouldnt be alowwed to exist .I feel strongly that they should, and Ive never had to train any animal of mineto not bite with the exception of one dog. His breed is not on the agressive list as he was a full blooded black lab. I had him puit dowmn voluntarily as he bit someone cespite all my attempts to train it out of him Hope I am not getting anyone angree and if I am I apologise. david

    Again Im not argueing that fighting dogs inflict massive amounts of damage when the do attack. BUt they are not the only dogs that bite. BUt you dont hear of anyone wanting to get rid of allthe little dogs. What do we all call them ? Ankle bitters. Just because it doesnt hurt as bad doesnt make it any better. David

    OK Im not going to say anything after this , but lets stop knocking the American pit BUll. There areas many bites in america by various other dogs as pit bulls. their bites are just more vicious. I am a firm believer in the fact that a dog only learns what he is taught. Get him/her accustome to other dogs and peaple and that dog will not bite unless provocked. regardless of what breed. Owners make bad dogs not their breed type. Annie Im not taking pot shots at you but to hear how an entire country outlaws a pit bull because its dangerous is rediculous to me. You have species native to your country that would devestate an American Pit bull in seconds. these animals run around will. I know we are talking domesticated animals here so comparing wild to tame is apples to oranges is not wright, just wanting to know where we stop. The most dangerous animal on earth a human. david

    Salty dog and chrome rose have a pet store . I think its in new bern but not sure. So sorry to hear about your littlest family member . Ive had to put one down myself , so I feel your pain. I cried for the whole day and the dog wasnt mine.(mother-in-laws) As far as the pit goes it kneeds to be put down if possible as its aggresive. hate to see it happen as all pits are not bad. Had one get hit by a tractor trailer and with 3 pins in his back leg he was still the sweetest animal Ive ever had. Seems to me the owner needs a little attitude adjustment to me..     fwiw I use a deluted(1/2water) amonia free windex on the entire bike. After which I follow up with a small amount of scratcx. think its the yellow bottle in the wax section at walmart. It cost about $1 David

    Good on you, I know the feeling, and it feels good to help someone out. I found a ladies purse in the middle of the road one afternoon an my way home from work. Spent the next several hrs trying to locate te lady through her work ID ( the only id in the purse). I answerd her cell phone when it rang and it was her husband trying to find her. After I explained what was going on he asked if I could meet him down the road. When I returned the purse the woman was there. ( the only way I would have turned it over as her work Id had a opicture of her on it) Turns ouot their life savings of close to $6000 was in the purse and she was on her way to the bank to pay off their mortgage. They tried to give me part of it but for me it wasnt necesary as I hadnt looked that far and until they counted it in my presence I was unaware of the money. Just hope someday someone will do the same for me. David

    thanks dingy, Ill head down to the local hardware store in the am. Been riding with it like that for about 3000 miles without any problems but I still amnot comfortable . Wasnt a problem before I found it, Im just scared it will build pressure and blow the plug out. Ignorance is bliss I guess. Thanks again David

    Ok what I kneed is the size of the retainer screw that holds in the draincock plug. I had a leak that turned out to be a hose at the overflow bottle. In the process I noticed that the draincock was turned wrong at the dealors during the last repair work so I went to losen the screw so I could turn it to the prpoer positionand thats when I noticed no screw. So I need to know the thread size and length. Any help would be apreciated. . I intend on ordering the upgrade kit from skydoc but would like to get something so I can ride till then. Be as Earl is temperarily down. Tahnks in advance. DAvid
