    I am just setting here reading this thread and one of the second set of pics caught my attention. Being as paint is kinda my thing, my first thought was what is making the paint turn loose around this mount. That looks an awfully lot like a cemical reaction of some sort. If it was on my jobsite I would have sworn some type of thinner or stripper had been spilled.

    do the warm up test.............crank it and let it run for 30 or so seconds and gingerly put your hand on each exhaust header. The ones not running will be cold. David

    if i read her original post corectly it was only 4750 ausrailian dollars round trip to ship. Way less than a used bike and kit plus hand controls. Please correct me if Im wrong and forgive my statements if I am. david

    hello Aussie, In the next week or so the misses and I are planning to contribute to the fund to get you here. Personally I would love to see you be able to bring your bike, as I know im more comfy on my bike than any other. A few have kicked the idea of buy/renting a bike and then kit it out and then resaleing it after you leave. Not a bad idea but they are throwing out prices without the extras that make the bike usable for you. Hand /forward controls would have to be added also. With all this it would then be a specialty bike and not easily sold. bring your ownbike is in my opinion the best choice. Either way I just want you to get here so we can finally meet. If it takes a few more dollars then so be it. Looking forward to the day we finally meet you 2. David

    hate to hear that they messed it up. Hope they will make it wright. Now as for goatkeeper with her own bike, I say why not. When you guys get the money then she will love it. Ask my wife ( Shadow Queen). She says its impowering. Either way its good to see you able to be up and about. Heal well my brother David

    This has happened a few times to me. Just the other night I logged out and then turned off my computer. It was completely turned off for the nnight. My wife was logged in to her acount and noticed that it said I was logged on. Is this normal or do I kneed to change some security settings? Tahnks in advance David

    Ill post up some close ups tommorow if I can get enough time. As for mounting them it was rather easy. I went to a muffler shop and explained what I was doing. The man at the shop told me to use 1 3/4 pipe . I thought this was rather large but it worked. BEing that the outside diameter of the collector is 1 1/2 the 1 3/4 is a litle large. His suggestion was to use the 1 3/4 pipe with a standard 1 3/4 exhaust pipe clamp and put a small amount of high heat rtv sealor in the pipe. We bent the pipe to about 16- 20 degrees and cut to fit the lenght. The muffler itself is bolted to the trailer hitch that I had lowerd when I got the trailer, The hitch wings that used to be half heartedly bolted to the bottom of the bag was at the perfect heigth. All in all it took me about $60 bucks including the mufflers. The most expensive part was the clamps. I bought a set off of ebay that stated it was for the popular hd conversion on the royal stars. Turns out when it arrived at my house it was from a member of this site. Buckeye performance. Like I said Ill post up close up pics tommorow. Any questions just ask.     three of the four peaple in my head agree with you guys on joining a club. Now as for you there oldgoat. Worry about healing and that will be payment enough for Shadow Queen and myself.     ok ...Back to the original ?????????? The wife and I rarely ride 2 up as she prefers to be on her own bike most of the time. We do pull a trailer behind my bike and camp as often as possible. For us it less about miles and more about the ride. So we usually just ride till we fill like stopping and then find a place to camp. Usually pretty easy to find camp site espescially if you stay in the parkways. Our rides are usually about 6-8 hrs and then set up camp. We also dont tend to get up so early being as the misses is not a morning person. Only time this changes is if we have a specific destination. Hope this helps David

    glad some one put up a pic..........I knew he and I had talked a bit while we were there. Just couldnt put a name to a face. My prayers are sent up fro you my new found friend and brother. Just glad it didnt happen on the road where their would be no-one to help. tell him to take it easy and do as he is told. I know , easier said than done. David
