    I drove all the way there from farther away than mini and all I did was get to meet new friends and eat some great food. I left the bbq center of the nation to get bbq. Believe me it was worth it. Heck just seeing Don in a chair held by Squidley while Mini ran around with a bucket was enough for me. And I had nothing needed to be done on the bike but did end up getting pinstripping on my bike and the misses bike too. On another note Ill not be making MD because Ill be having surgery for carpals tunnel on both hands in mid may. Ill miss you guys. Last year was our first md but definately not our last. David

    they are the hootie booties that black owl sells. Just give him a pm. he worked withme a lot as my first set didnt fit and he sent me a new set at no charge. Thaanks Russell David

    MAn I wish I could take that stuff. first time I had one of those injections the doc found out it doesnt work for me . LAsted every bit of ten minutes and then the pain came back 2 fold.. Ended up having to do the operation on my shoulder earlier than planned. Doc said it was some kind of fluke he had never sen someone go from pian to relief and back again in the course of one office visit. Good luck David

    Im using a yuasa. Its on its 3rd year and never been on a tender or charger since installedd. Course ridind season is year round with the exception of a week or 2 for snow every now and then. David

    the wife and I were talking baout it. As long as I can and shecan use the steel cable it looks like fun . But with her being a shutter bug it would take us three days to get through it. Thanks for the video DAvid

    the swr meter connects at the base of the cb from my understanding. DAvid

    yes Boo that is ecaxtly what i was talking about. I got the nut i was talking about and it didnt work. The firestick is 3/8x 24 thread.and they only come in a male stud configuration.I wasnt sure what thread was on my first gen stud. I need a coupling nut that goes from 3/8x24 thread on the firestik to what ever the thread is on the original male stud already on the bike. If yoou have it Ill be glad to buy it and pay for shipping if you want to get rid of it. Thanks Im stioll trying to get it together. David

    hey boo I did the search before I posted this..........guess i should have stated that sorry........radio shack doesnt sell that anymore I called them. They actually dont sell anything related to antennas ecept the cable. I looked on the firestik website and they sell a 3/8x 24 thread coupleing nut so I think ill head over to the local hardware store and buy one . Cheap enough if it works. Im not sure of the thread on the 1st gen antenna mount. If it screws on Ill buy a 4ft firestick and spring mount , then go to the local cb shop to have the swr set. Local cb shop also said the could put me a new end on my original cable and then I could buy a mount setup to make the firestik work.........so there is options I was just wanting to see what the group thought. David

    Is there an adapter that mates a firestickII antenna to the stock 1st gen set up. The firestick antennas have a male stud attachment and so does the antenna mount on the bike........I dont want to do the marshal mod but would love to fix my stock setup. Either that or find a new to me antenna . The top part of mine broke off just above the large round pice where you do the adjustments for the cb section. Thanks in advance David

    Sorry to hear this Ben, I understand your pain as I feel the same way everyday. I miss my dad too. But enough about me as Im nit the important one now. You and your family are. At least he passed easily . Its not much of a statement I know but the pain is gone and your dad is in a better place and now he gets to work with the carpenter i heaven(jesus).     went today and had the test done..My right hand exploded the test results and my left hand was bad but not near as much. So now Im scheduled for march 4 for surgery on my right hand and maybey the left in 6 weeks later.Wish me luck as it just means that muck=h mre down time from the bike.. Looks like the wife will have to double me around so I can get my ridding fix David

    ok ........wish it would have worked out for ya ...I sem to remeber you guys looking for something like this not long ago..............or was that a cb setup......They say your mind is the first thing to go and mine left a few years ago..HEHEHEHEHEHE David

    not exactly sure how that works with the time change..........what are you guys like 13 hrs behind us or is it ahead of us........either way there is 2 hrs left so if you need a set and some assistance it can be arranged.....let me know. David
