  1. Not sure what to say here. It brings back memeories od my father when he had the same situation only it was exasperated b diabeties. HOpe nad prayers will be sent. Godspeed and heal well David
  2. yes dingy it might cause a problem on a hard highspeed laydown. Now on the other hand it would also be of great value on the hard lowspeed droop as it would protect the engime guard and also the 90 degree pipe from the water pump to the thermo housing. I would love a set my self if you plamn on making them.In black of course. David
  3. Im no mechanic but it seems to me that if you need to keep the pipes at an equal length then is it possible that to tie the 2 rears together and the 2 frontstogether instead of right and left? David
  4. OK Ill leave the fuel comments to better minds. The headlight issue is a bit out of my league also. Now as for the cdi/tci, it will fit under the false tank. As soon as I can get a few pics of mine ill post it up for you. Now the trick is that your trying to putit too high. You stated that you tried to put it on top of the battery box. Try putting it on the air box, thats where mine is located. You can also go to the classified section and look under member venders . Look for skydoc17's items he has a complete replacement block for the fuse box that comes along with all the attachments and directions to walk you through it. Kepp asking any ?? you have and well try our best to answer as well as we can. David
  5. I took mine to the stealor and had it done as I needed a complete flush, new front and rear tire and he was hurting for work so he offerd me a great deal on labor. Now after it was done I stumbled on a parts list while surfing the internet and what i found was a vmax ellbow that was chromed metal 90. I cant find the parts list but others may be able to help you out on this. I was pointed to this repair by a vmax group online. Now for temporary fix you can remove the goop as you called it with a putty knife and go to lowes and buy the epoxy this aplication. Put it on and let it sit till cured and repeat as necasarry. Little tip as I went there on a trip to the coast when mine leak 4 hrs away from home. Go ahead and drop all of the antifreez. It will not cure if it still has water or the like in it. David
  6. Sorry Dom' Guess I should have given my original post a little more thought. I never meant to start a hate thread for the WBC.. In fact after I've calmed down I've come to the realization that I feel a large amount of hate but mostly pity for this group. A large family that is missguided by one individual. And hate goes against everything my southern baptist upbringing has tought me, Lets ease up peaple. AS I am now agreeing with Don. Again humblest apologies. David
  7. Thanks Don, I am a pgr member myself.I didnt know the rules on that but was only hopeing. As prviously stated its probably a good thing I'm not closer as they would probably have a reason to sue someone. ME included. Again with all due respect as I know there are many out there with many diferent opinions and I dont mean to infame or iritate anyone. I was and still am a little iritated and was and still am venting. David
  8. this just made me sick. Its probably a good thing Im not there as I may be tempted to send him to meet god and see if hes wright. Now the westboro church is going to protest a funeral of 7 kids that died in a house fire as they are syaing its the wrath of god because they live in the same state that the initial lawsuit against the westboro church was taken out.Any patriot guard riders near by. And Don if this is too inflamitory or political please remove this thread. Not meaning to start anything I just had to vent http://www.fox43.com/news/wpmt-westboro-protest-perry-fire-funeral,0,5116994.story David
  9. yeah thats what i thought but it seems rather narrow from the pic and also seems to be mounted on a reeses type hitch. That is quite a bit norowwer than my markland. Guess Ill call them in the am David
  10. Ok looking for better minds than mine. I've found a parade flag pole holder I really like . Problem is it is made for a goldwing. ??is will it fit on my markland hitch?? http://emblem.legion.org/Motorcycle-Parade-Flag-Holder/productinfo/120.220/ thanks in advance david

  14. nice car. I new what it was as soon as I seen the scoop. I had a 95 gt. Although it was no tame kitten even compared totodays standards. It came with the gt 40 power pacage to which I emidiatly added tons of goodies under the hood and then started in the dash. Had about 5 grand in the motor before it was overr and almost 5000 wats in the stereo. The wife and I were making a show car out of it but it had to go when we started trying to have kids. Mustang plus twins equals ouch my back and we got rid of it for a 2001 explorer. Best trade Ive ever made. Happy b-day chickie. and thanks for the walk down memory lane. David
  15. consider her added to my list. David
  16. OK it looks good and all but Im going to go out on a limb here. IF the thing will run faster than my 1st gen then I really dont want it. I have as of yet found the top end on this thing. David
  17. went back and reread my first post. I see what your talking about. but what I did was cut the original cable 1/8 th oof an inch or so from the original antenna base and installed the screw on coaxal conector. So only lost a 1/4 inch of cable at max. Now I just need to find a local cb shop or a member close enough for a ride . Seems cb shops in oue area are no longer in style and my local yamaha dealor doesnt want to touch anything wiht the antenna or coaxal cable. There only sugestion was to buy a new antenna, David
  18. thanks guys . These are the answers I was wanting. Mostly wanted it for the looks of the dual antennas. maybey Ill just add another on the other side and run a seperate coax just for the radio. Or maybey just mount it there for the looks. I didnt use the cb yet as I dont have a swr meter and i am presently looking to find a cb shop or buy on myself. But I did turn it on and was picking up truckers on the highway from my driveway. Never been able to do that even before the antenna broke. David
  19. going to be using the 3ft k 40 antennas like what is used in this repair. But I can drop down to the 2 ft k 40's. Thanks and any advice is appreciated. David
  20. ok so I had an atnenna brake on my 91 vr. So I went to the local radio shack and bought a twist on pl 259 coax connector. then a trip to the local truck stop where I purchased a 3 ftK40 antena, stud mount , and 90 degree pl-259 adaptor. This project took more timedeciding what antenna to buy than it did to do. First I cut the coax as close to the original antenna as possible and then screwd on the conector. Then installed the stud mount and 90 degree adaptor and screwed the coax back on. Already had the radio tuned to a channel that Ive never been able to pick up and waalaaa it picked up. Now for the ?? Will the stock cb handle 2 antennas? I am debating adding a splitter inline and getting 2 new coax cables to hook up 2 antenna instead of one. I just dont want to burn up the unit. And of course either way Ill be getting the swr set as soon as possible. David
  21. Ive been a mamber for a while......showed up to one ride and was asked to stand the line...........with falg in hand and a deep respect I stood there and watched the limo go by............no protesters that I seen and the family knew that at least one group was respectfull for what their son had given up David
  22. mini you could always head to our house after work.thats 4 hrs and then ride with us the next day. Just an idea.our door is always open for oyu. David
  23. never tried it before so Ill let you know.....I trust the muffinmans word and he told me to put the castrol 20/50 in...now its in both bikes as of this afternoon. David
