Almost sounds Dutch to me!!!! Yep, grew up with most of those things. Not Lutheran, but CRC,(Christian Reformed Church). Some really good things to have in life. Funny how we can be so much alike, and yet not communicate together. That's changing a little today I think. Maybe some good in that.

I love watching that video,,,, I think that guy is an idiot, a complete unabridged idiot! but he does show us that there always seems to be a out. Sometimes we need to learn that, we don't get to practice it much, if at all, but as we learned in MCT, a stopped MC is a dead MC, so keep it moving, always look for the out, more so than the brakes when it comes to a tight situation. As far as this thread is concerned, I'm with Eck, let's wait for the outcome. Lesson here is: What are you as a rider telling the left turning cagers coming toward you. Your lane position, speed, lane position change, flashing of lights all send a signal to the other driver. Be careful not to send them the wrong signal. Just a simple thing such as moving from one track to another, may indicate to the cager that you are making a turn, and seeing as he\she is in such a hurry, they will take their chance and move in their intended direction.

Can these work on my bike,..?
Marcarl replied to DarrinGT's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I not 100% sure, but I would think they would work,,,, at least at the price, you can't go too far wrong. -
Same goes for anybody running their own business, yep, and I wouldn't trade the work, the bourbon or the other part for anything else,,,,, just wish I could remember what the other thing was.

2nd gear trans suggestion
Marcarl replied to Venturous Randy's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
It claims to be an 86, 1200, and 85. Not sure I'd want to take the chance. All that work to tear it down, for the sake of changing a washer, and doing the undercut on the gears,,,, I wouldn't spend the extra on the gears.- 22 replies

Yep I agree with Dave,,, it actually works. Good for you for not 'joining in'. If you have principles you need to stick to them, or they ain't principles anymore. Enjoy the sunshine and warmth you two, see you soon. Carl

With a couple of easy mods, it should work. Make sure you get the rack that it sits on with it. Wizard765 is doing his, and he is supposed to know how it goes together. Bongobobny is also familiar with the process. It's a bummer when those things go sliding down the road, I know!

Ty going wireless again. We used to have dialup, but then a friendly customer of ours started a wireless company in our area, that's 4 years ago, and he has upgraded the equipment 3 times. We never have a problem anymore. At first we did, here and there for short periods of time, but lately, never!!!!! Newer better wireless equipment is now available, so those problems might be history. And if your using a D-link router, replace it.

Have a good time you two, and don't get sunburnt,,, you know how the young ones tend to forget that when they're having fun.

Marcarl replied to Marcarl's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
yes sir, all good questions and believe you me, there was many times I checked to make sure all was in order,,,,, I thought this was going to be a pig to deal with and that was right,,,,, course I grew up with hogs on the farm and in the slaughter house, and all those who thought to think otherwise all ended up in the sausage,,, so now another to add to the list. Bring it on!!!!! I'll take all comers!!! -

Alright everybody, thanks for your input, especially BradT,,,right,,,, the fool thing is off!!!!!!!!!! Now if you like to know how it was done,,,,,,,,,well. As you can see I manged to screw up the puller, so first I had to fix that somewhat, after that, it seemed to be a good thing to also fix the spacer a little, so I did that, then I brought the whole business over to where is was going to be most useful and proceeded to install it all back on the flying wheel, which hasn't done too much flying and I was starting to think that maybe it was named wrong so I was coming up with a better name, but in the meantime I was putting the heat of fire under the so called flying wheel tower,,, after which I tightened the snot out of the puller using my 3' extender bar. I tell you things were poping and snapping at me, but I gave it no mind whatsoever, for the end of the puller was not what it used to be, or ever be again. After some time, and getting quite cranky, I said: that's enough for now and then proceeded to use the punch trick again, this time with more forcefulness than what thought would be normal, but seeing as at this point nothing else was normal, why should I then limit it to the punch affair,,,, so I whacked away it with all my heart,,,,, I kept all the words to myself but then I let one thing slip out,,,, it was kind of a threat I suppose, but Scamper took heed when she heard the words: if this don't come apart soon, I'll go look for a second,,,,, and at that point, IT JUMPED APART. So my friends, i have determined that it's all in the words you use,,,, nothing else,,,,Scamper will live on to see another day. -

The latest results using a 1\2" impact. First two pictures of the end of my puller, and the second of the steel block I had made to use as a spacer. So now what am I doing wrong,,,, I even held my tongue in a different position. -
Nice video, sound is good, picture comes out well,,,,,, but it doesn't show anything. Anyhow, how are you going to revive old leather, vinyl or rubber,,, all you can really do is to cover it up,,, once it's dried out and cracked, you're not going to glue those cracks back together,,, but if someone want to believe that,,, well they can for a while anyways.
