Oh-oh.....Somebody's in the dog house!!

I have a Garage full of "somethings"....priced to go at $25 a pop and I'll pay shipping!

I recently donated a whole box of "winter MC gloves" to Goodwill. All of them were purchased with the belief that they would keep my hands somewhat comfortable while riding in cold weather. I'm here to tell you there was not ONE set in the box of 26 sets that even came close to doing the job! If I added up all the $$$ I spent on those gloves I could have bought a full set of heated gear and still had $$$ left over for a dozen ice cream stops!Grrrrrrr........ Heated gloves are on their way as I type this. I'll post a report on them after seeing how they perform.

I just called Al Gore and filed a formal complaint with his house Butler..... Global warming my a$$............

Too much technology for me! I prefer hollering out the back door to get the kids and dogs inside.....and a grease pencil still works great on my windshield for laying out ride Routes to/from home. Boomer....keeping it simple cuz I'd lose all them fancy gadgets if I had em.

I ordered the jacket liner and gloves from these folks.....pretty fair price I think. http://www.wingstuff.com/pgroup_detail/20110_Synergy_Electric_Jacket_Liner_w_Temperature I have met several PGR members who swear by these carbon fiber units. I'll reserve judgement until I get em and see how they do.

Today, for a Patriot Guard Mission, I rode over 220 miles in temps that hovered slightly above 20F. Never again am I gonna freeze my tail off like that on the road again! Ordered mahself a heated jacket liner and heated gloves within 20 minutes after getting home and thawing out. Now I have to figger how to make my scoot more safe/stabil on snow/ice.....

I'm pretty sure it is the riders RIGHT as you are sitting on the bike facing forward......Facing the rear means ya ride funny....

At 6AM it was a balmy 20F here this morning. Now with the sun shining at 8:30AM it has reached 28F. I surely hope tomorrow is a bit warmer cuz I'm heading out at 5:30AM to do a 3 hour run for a Patriot Guard Mission way up in MassiveTwoChits. Boomer

clutch basket question
BoomerCPO replied to Silver Bullet's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I just dug this up....Hope it helps you. In addition to the normal replacement part, an "I" size primary driven gear is available (4XY-16150-09-00). The "I" size primary driven gear is not used in normal production. It was produced to reduce the normal gear whine noise the Venture engine emits and some customers find annoying. Installation of the "I" size primary driven gear results in slightly greater gear lash. We have found this additional lash, in some cases reduces gear whine noise or it may move the peak noise level to an rpm not normally used while cruising, either of which can be more acceptable to a customer. -
I have not changed out the clutch basket. I have switched to synthetic oil, put on a set of Barons 4-2-4 pipes, and keep the RPMs high on all the gears. It all adds up to not hearing the whine/chirp and I can live with it. The bike is too comfortable and runs too good to hold the whine/chirp against it.

It is gratifying to see the Lawmen take down a clown like that. Too bad the fall did not break a half dozen bones and knock some sense into that idiot. Can you imagine the harm he could have done if he plowed into a group of little kids on that bike? The stupid shall be punished and it looks like that dude got a bit of it. So it goes and so did he....right into the slammer.

Anyone Know the size of this bolt?
BoomerCPO replied to Tom's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Oh that's just peachy.....You lose a bolt and don't tell us the specific location or what it's holding together? As if I don't have enuff things to check before going on the road........Just keep me in suspense why dontcha! -
If these States really wanted to raise some serious income they should be slapping heavy Fines on the jerks that cause MC accidents/deaths! And if you folks think you have lazy DOT workers in your State just ride into Connecticut! Here you will see 2 DOT workers actually working while 14 others are standing around "supervising"........Grrrrrrrr..........

Hope you see this and respond dude....It was a pleasure meeting you and seeing your RSV! Boomer.....with a failing memory.

New Enough Tourmaster Riding Gear - Armor Question
BoomerCPO replied to RoadKill's topic in Riding Gear
I crashed also in July and busted 4 ribs on my left side. My Doc steered me to a Rib Protector made by ADAMS. Now my ribs on both sides are well protected. The rib protector will do more for you than armor in the back. -
Servicedog thank you for being a member of the Patriot Guard! When I start to get Mission burnout I'm always rejuvenated by reading the Letters of Appreciation sent to our organization. Those letters come right from the heart Bro. Yes we sure as hell do make a difference in what we do....Riding With Respect. **Ladyrider my deepest sympathy for your loss. I can assure you that had the Mission for your Tom been in CT,RI,MA,NH,VT,NJ,NY or ME I most assuredly would have been there on the Flag Line for his Mission. God Bless sweetie. Regards and respect.....Boomer (100+ Missions and still riding)

Thanks Don! That is exactly what I intend to do. Just ordered myself a NANO IPod and I'll be headed to Radio Shack to get the patch.
