Yep, heard about the cold concrete thing last year. Think it's BS as my Dunlop E2s didn't crack from the cold on my 90VR or that the Bridgestones on my wife's bike didn't crack either or my front tire. We'll see, I got their attention last year when the dealer and Avon USA didn't respond, someone in England got a hot email from me, THAT got a response.....I have enough to worry about with the crazy cagers without having to worry about my tires possibly blowing out.

Got the bikes out of storage saturday, great day, sunny and 50s. Brought them home and started checking them over and found CRACKS in the sidewall of my rear tire. :confused24:This is the second time. I had the rear tire replaced last spring for the same problem. Took it down to the dealer and showed them. They took pics, said the Avon rep would be in later this week and they'd get it taken care of. Tire only has 6,400 miles on it. The front one has 10,000 on it and looks great. It's an Avon 130. Looks like it could go another 8000-10000 easy. The tire was made the 5th week of 08. There was no problem with it last summer or fall, looked good before putting the bikes away. Must be something with the cold? The tires on my wife's bike look just fine too and it was sitting right next to mine.

Tim Horton's is sort of like a Dunkin' Donuts. Except they have weird accents, eh? :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf: I did see they've now invaded Michigan.........

LED Turn Signal Options
Leadwolf56 replied to Jdix's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I've seen Bummer's and yes, they'll flash a lot faster and a LOT brighter. Very noticeable, I'll be adding these and the tail/brake light to mine soon. -

I think Manning watched Brett Favre too close in the playoff game. What's up with these other QBs helping out the Saints? Anyway, it was a good game (until then) and I'm even happy for the Saints since they hadn't been there before. Happy for you too Lewis, you picked good..... :rotf::rotf:

We have midnight seats on our 06, I had rick Butler rework them and they're a lot better. We've done some 500 mile days on them with no problem.

I think you've answered most of your own questions. Not to do any Harley bashing (yes, I've ridden an HD ultra, no, it wasn't mine), but it depends on what you want. I moved from a 1st gen to a 2nd gen. Not because of the style but the seating position is better for me and my knees. We ride a lot of miles and the HD wouldn't be as comfy as my Venture, nor as smooth. The vTwin would also require more maintenance than my V4 and probably wouldn't last as long without major rebuilds. I know from my friends experience. But, we all ride what we choose so make yourself happy. Good luck and let us know what you decide to get.

Sure we will, I'll tell you I REALLY like my 06 Black Cherry RSV, it was a great deal and I know the two previous owners......right Joe? Good to see you're looking again.

I live in Northern IN. I have Progressive on our bikes and on our cars. We only pay $370.00 a year for the two bikes, 2006 Venture and a 2000 Honda Shadow.

Removing the seat from my '86 VR.
Leadwolf56 replied to elmicko's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
On thesides of the seat under the passenger section you'll see a hole. In tere there is a 12mm bolt to take out. Take both out and pull up and back on the seat. -
Russ, you have paypal and a pm.
