  1. Here's a pic of my bike on the dock at Tofino, BC in the middle of a 4500 km ride we took from Edmonton over to Prince Rupert, ferry down to Port Hardy and then a few days spent exploring some great roads on Vancouver Island. There are some fantastic twisties there!! Gold River, Tofino, Port Renfrew, and all!! We had some rain on the north part of the island but it was sunny and warm after Port Renfrew!!!
  2. Mac or PC? on a Mac you need Handbrake, it'll rip it to a format that'll work on your computer or iPod.... You can get a PC version of Handbrake but I have never used it. I am sure it'll work gine....
  3. that's horrible, sorry to hear about this tragedy. I can remember many times being "talked" into riding with my daughter, she loves being on the bike like it sounds like this little girl did. Life is short, cherish it in the moment. Don't waste any opportunity to let your love ones know you care.
  4. they take a 10 mm socket... that's all I got sorry...
  5. I'll take one, thanks!
  6. hang in there, it WILL turn around.
  7. Hang in there!
  8. I stopped almost a month ago. I have smoked for lots of years and have tried quitting many times before. I don't know if it was just the practice I had had or the fact that I am using Champix this time but it has been quite painless. I really haven't had any cravings like I did before, I have snuck a couple but they tasted nasty and smelled bad, it was more about routine than "needing" a smoke. It's pretty expensive I think, but not as much as smoking... Worth a try if you are struggling. I used to love smoking, just not what it did to me. Good luck and hang in there, your friends and family appreciate it!!
  9. Hoping for a quick recovery! Stroke care these days has come a long long way!!
  10. nope - -30 deg C this morning, -25 now. plus the snow, ice, sand and other stuff we have to endure until spring..... Definitely jealous of you guys!
  11. this is me somewhere east of Lincoln, MT...
  12. I have the garmin 2720 too and really like how it works. Waterproof, rugged large screen etc. I wish it had an internal battery so I could take it in the hotel room to plan the next day. Color01 - how are you getting audio out of it? I plugged a cable into the aux and the audio was terrible. I heard that you have to have some kind of special cable?
  13. I have the same squeak, epecially on a cool morning but at the end of the ride it isn't there. I also noticed that air I put in the rear shock does not stay. A few weeks later it's down 10 psi or so. Is that normal (is that a hijack or a diversion?)
  14. I'd like to extend my thanks in here too. I realize how much we owe to those that defend our countries.
  15. I had an 1979 xs400 that I paid $400 for in 1983, I put lots of miles on with that 27 HP ride! My buddy and I rode it from Fort St John to Peace River when the temp was 3 deg C. Lots of great times on that machine.
  16. 12,000 so far but the weather's not looking good for much more riding....
  17. glad you are OK - thanks for telling your story. Heal quick!
  18. holy cow! I hope you are healing ok, it sure could have been much worse! For interest sake, how many miles were on that tire and what brand?
  19. thanks for the tip - I was looking for just that. Looks like it was recently updated to allow for l/100km so it's perfect!

  21. haha - I just got the mug and I thought it would be cool to get a pic everytime it goes out with me! Here's a couple more pics from the same trip - can't see the mug though! 194 is Kootenay lake north of Kaslo, BC. The road soons turns to gravel after this point and I have heard it's pretty rough. Our destination was really south west of there so we headed back shortly after this pic 0115 is Bob and his wife. Bob is a member of this forum (tag is something about ducks) and who "venturized" his tour deluxe. That's a Electra Glide fairing! 0076 is Francis' V-Star parked outside the A&W in Creston BC. 0110 is Al and his Venture carvin' the corners! Fantastic roads all around that area!
