    I myself like HD bikes and I think that about half the guys that belong to this site would take an Ultra over there RSV if the price was even. I wonder why I didnt go with the Ultra when I got my RSV but when I think back my bro Mike just got his 2000 RSV and I was on an 86 1st gen and then I seen Al Bates Midnight and I had to have one. I think back then it was a want to be part of the Michigan group . I was just looking at the pitures from the first Michigan meet and eat ( look what you started Joe ). For the money I have into The Shiny One I could of had any bike I wanted . lol

    Wrapping the baffels to tight will not quiet you down. You should wrap them lose and use wire or tape to hold the wrap in place while you install the baffel. When you use to much packing it will act like a solid and not allow any sound to be baffeled.

    They all seem to get about the same, just seems to make a difference on how you ride and how fast you ride. I mean if you are riding in a group and you have to stop for gas before anyone else with the same bike you have a problem.

    I have the moto lights , they work great. Been on my 04 for two years without a problem.

    Thanks , I just didnt want to hear anything about a stator.

    I have been noticing that when I pull my brake on my lights dim a little. Even when my turn signal is on I see a little flicker in the dash lights. Please tell me my battery is going. Still the orignal from 04.

    Thanks for the report Don this really caught my interest. Im wondering how it feels coming out of the hole. Ive had a bunch of bikes in my life and never had a bike so slow out of the hole as the RSV. I would love to have the power to smoke the rear wheel if I wanted .

    I helped to fix a couple seats with this problem last year. One thing I can tell you , if you've been riding the bike with the hook on top of the slot you've got it bent in . So that makes it even harder to get it to hook. I actually had to carefully bend one out to get it to work right again. Remember this is plastic.

    I have the same lift and lift my RSV up . I have a center stand and dont use anything but a tie strap. My bike has spent the last two winters up in the air.

    I use one of these tools all the time. Works great for surface temp.

    Very common , some of them dont get enough grease
