  1. Also you might want to make it out of thinner stock than the 1/4" on the drawing. how thick are the nuts???????? Make it thinner than one nut.
  2. Be sure to use Honda Moly60 paste on the splines. Three places. On the Clutch Hub both ends of the drive shaft.
  3. Also the factory wrench is releaved to be easly put on and taken off the nut.
  4. The distance is a LOT more for the Stainless horns than the Stabel Nautilus compact horn.... Interesting find!!!!!! How do they sound?
  5. I use RejeX on my plasic and painted parts of cars and bike. it is the BEST stuff I have EVER used!!!!!!
  6. I don't like wearing polarized sunglasses on my 2nd Gen RSV as the factory windshield is made of Polycarbonate plastic. I get LOTS of rainbow effects due to the stress in the plastic..... that said, I have not looked through my windshield with polarized sunglasses without direct sunlight on the windshield...
  7. Will they work with the Barron's extended handlebar spacers?
  8. IIRC when I looked at moving mine back, I noted that there is a molded rubber mounting thingey glued to the back bottom of the trunk that you will have to relocate to make the move. Other than that, it looked to be easy to me, but MrsSquid said she did not want it moved. AND IIRC, if you look in the bike assembly manual, there are written instructions.
  9. Too many variables in the way I ride to quote fuel mileage... Now if someone would start a Smilage (smiles per mile ridden) mine would be off the chart most of the time I ride.
  10. are any of the spark plug wires crossed?? E.g.: are wires for #1 and #2 cylinders on the wrong cylinder?
  11. Why not adjust pilot screws, linkage screws, pilot screws, linkage screws, repeat as necessary until there is no more improvement through adjustment... being that it is my bike and I am not on a time clock I will do this process for as long as it takes to get maximum, equal vacuum on all four carbs Now to find the pilot screws on my bike...

  13. PrueOne for me too. At the price for that farkle, they can keep the sparkle, and I cant comment on the function of them
  14. I just have to many sea stories to relate.... I have sent people for sound powered phone batteries, buckets of steam, 100 feet of shore line, an HT punch (regrettably there were no BTs on any of the gas turbine powered ships I served on so no BT punches were on-board), buckets of steam, manning up the mail buoy watch, going to observe a captured Sea Bat, etc. Here is one of my favorite Sea Stories. We were underway going to Charleston Naval Station on a FFG and as the ship is taller than the bridge we had to transit under we had to send one of the guys to lower the mast.... There is a 5MC system on-board that has a directional speaker mounted under the mast, so the Officer of the Deck can give verbal directions to ships or boats that are near by. We sent one of my guys up to spin the hand wheel as fast as he could in an effort to "lower the mast" before we would hit the bridge................. When you stand on the deck of a ship you cant tell how close the mast will come to the bottom of a bridge........ HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Is there a solid state replacement for this flasher unit on the market???? I cant seem to find one.
  16. it is in the service manual that is downloadable for free from a link on the left side of every page here at VR.org click on the VRTech
  17. You should see the rest of the computer animations from animusic!!!!!!!! Click HERE to go to Animusic's web site. AND Animmusic 3 is in production!!!!!!
  18. When you grease the drive shaft, or the surfaces of the "clutch hub" (which connects your final drive to your rear wheel) you should use Honda Moly60 paste!!!!!!!!!!!! Get it at a Honda or Acura car dealership for lower cost.....
  19. It is worth its weight in gold!!!!!! It helps you out at low speeds which all the skils are used at full speed too!!!!! It might save your life!!!!!!! GET IT TODAY!!!
  20. I normally try to keep the primary and Auxiliary blight switches in the off position.....
  21. I would improve my riding skills so I would NEVER have to "lay her down". If you lay a bike down on purpose, you give up all control of the bike and therfore your passanger and your slef. Watch the DVD Ride like a Pro V and PRACTICE what is shown on EVERY ride!!!!!!
  22. I bought a Dell netbook just a few weeks ago and I LOVE it!!!!! This is our secondary computer as we have a laptop computer hooked up to a keyboard, mouse and 20" monitor. I will probably take the netbook on rides with me.... it is SMALL and the Dell's keyboard is 94% the size of a normal keyboard, so I can type even though I have sausage like fingers.....
  23. a wedge to go into the trunk hinge would be an interestyng item. you myght go to your local mahchine shhop to see what they ccould make. Yes yt might be expensive.. but being able to yntergrate the locks into it would be cool. i llike the wahy Bmw sels diffrent size trunks for ther bikes.. it wwould bbe mice if Yamaha would do the same, but the cost would be Mucch higher. i like the looks of the duahl stainless steel antennas on these bikes, so I would Nout change it. in an attempt to make slowhand happy, I ran the above text through an online mispeller.................. it did NOT do a good job....
  24. 99% of the time I put my helmet in the trunk.....
  25. It comes and goes for me. I just live with it. Now if someone could make the voices in my head stop for ten minutes!!!!!!!!!!
