  1. +1 Also if you don't exercise it from time to time, when you do need it, it may be frozen........
  2. If you are concerned, you should get your gauge calibrated by a professional lab. OR you can build a water column to compare your gauge to. To get PSI you need to multiply inches of water by 0.036 and then divide that by 12 to get feet of water. So to properly calibrate a gauge you should take readings at 10 PSI increments..... here is a little data. 10 PSI equals 23.1481481481481 feet of water. 20 PSI equals 46.2962962962963 feet of water. 30 PSI equals 69.4444444444444 feet of water. 40 PSI equals 92.5925925925926 feet of water. 50 PSI equals 115.740740740741 feet of water. 60 PSI equals 138.888888888889 feet of water. 70 PSI equals 162.037037037037 feet of water. 80 PSI equals 185.185185185185 feet of water. 90 PSI equals 208.333333333333 feet of water. 100 PSI equals 231.481481481481 feet of water. But if you used Mercury (Hg) instead of water the height becomes more manageable. 10 PSI equals 1.6966838813 feet of Hg. 20 PSI equals 3.3933677626 feet of Hg. 30 PSI equals 5.0900516439 feet of Hg. 40 PSI equals 6.7867355252 feet of Hg. 50 PSI equals 8.4834194065 feet of Hg. 60 PSI equals 10.1801032878 feet of Hg. 70 PSI equals 11.8767871691 feet of Hg. 80 PSI equals 13.5734710504 feet of Hg. 90 PSI equals 15.2701549317 feet of Hg. 100 PSI equals 16.966838813 feet of Hg. a more manageable height, but I dont have the volume of Hg laying around to do do this. Due to the heights involved in using water and I don't think I can get access to the county water tower for the height I need to conduct this test, and my current lack of Mercury, I will check to see what it would cost to get an analog and a digital gauge calibrated at a certified lab.
  3. They do, and you can download the manual from your Starmotorcyels account for free, but for some it is easier to ask questions here.
  4. I accidentally drove about 40 miles with my enricher on at highway speeds with no discernible effect.
  5. Why do you want to know????? If you got em, grind em!!!!!!!
  6. What Sansa model are you referring to???? I have a C250 that I power using a 12V to USB converter and use a second USB cable I got from SanDisk to power it as it has a proprietary plug on it...
  7. I use 0 PSI in the forks and 50 PSI in the rear.
  8. If you cant cross it at greater than 45 degrees than the answer is NO!!!! Get a copy of Proficient Motorcycling: The Ultimate Guide to Riding Well (second edition with the CD) by David L. Hough ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 9. I knew a guy who would ride his Goldwing to work every day of the year, no matter what the weather was in Salt Lake City Utah. It was his only vehicle. About 45 miles each way. Rain, sleet, snow, cold, whatever.......... he rode.... I stop riding when it is no longer fun for me....
  10. Just inside the fairing. The passing light mount should come with wires to extend the current wiring. you should coat the connectors with dielectric grease to keep them from corroding and causing issues later.
  11. My Harley-Davidson I call "The Pan Head" and my RSV I call "The bike" BTW, does anybody want to buy my Pan Head?
  12. I salute him for his service!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. My RSV gets about 806,400 rods to the hogshead, and thats the way I likes it.
  14. I just use the suction cup mount that came with my Garmin GPS and stick it to my RSV's windshield...
  15. Bikes and trucks are replacable, people are not. I am glad nobody was hurt.
  16. Could it be a bent rim????????
  17. OOPS my mistake..... The bike comes with 1157 in the FRONT and the 7507 in the rear turn signals........ OOPS I am sorry. I put 2357 bulbs in all locations in my bike......
  18. you should lower a bike as the LAST resort, as it increases the minimum turning radius. When you NEED to turn tight, you might bottom out the frame and crash the bike instead of being able to swerve around the hazard..... If your feet do not sit flat on the ground due to a short inseam, get the seat front narrowed and lower the seating area by shaving off some foam.
  19. The tank comes off really easy, but is easier if it is close to empty as it weighs less and the weight shifts less, so TRY to do it when the tank is 1/4 or less. EASY instructions are in the FREE service manual.
  20. Click HERE to read more Actually you should, as you don't want somebody to violate your right of way... MOST motorcycle accidents happen to the FRONT of the bike, only about 7% are to the rear of the bike. Read the book Proficient Motorcycling: The Ultimate Guide to Riding Well by David L. Hough for more info.
  21. You want hte second item on that page. The 7507 are single intensity with offset pins. here is the pertinent info from Custom Dynamics web site. I did verify that 7507 (AKA PY21W) bulb is in the front turn signals of the RSV. BUT when you order do it by phone and tell them what bike you have and ask what fits....... that way if it does not, you could probally retrun them without a re-stocking fee, but get it in writing.....
  22. IIRC the front turn signals use 7507 lamps....but I could be mistaken.
  23. Nice bike, and it looks like you cat likes it too!!!!!
  24. Well the 765T showed up and I LOVE it. I used the suction cup mount on the windshield and it worked GREAT, but due to the vibrations the ball and socket would rotate down over time, so I had to rotate the unit up from time to time. The MP3 player works well!!!! Cons: It looks like the USB interface is type 1 as it only communicated at 500kb/sec or so with my PC when I tried to load music into the SD card. I have a SD card slot on my laptop, so I used it to try to fill a 8MB card, and it only took about one hour.. over the USB it took 3 hours to transfer 1.5GB of data. When I updated the software the file was just over 2GB, so if you update your Garmin GPS software, do it last thing before going to bed and let it download overnight....... Then in the morning I had to start the update process and it took FOREVER, or so it seamed due to that slow USB 1.0 data transfer.... UGH!!!! The screen washes out in direct sun, but I had it hooked up to the aux input of my sound system using the MP3 Player and the GPS would tell me when a turn was coming up, so I did not care if I could see the screen clearly. I bought this GPS to also use in my cages, so overall I am VERY happy with the unit!!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!! I might buy a RAM mount to use it on the bike, but that is no this month.... UPDATE: I purchased a RAM mount and it is GREAT!!!!!!
