  1. Condor, you bought ANOTHER bike? That new office/barn you built - you have to be making additions to it now -what's that, (5) 1st Gen's???????? Remember, you need two more to be able to ride a different one each day - whatcha waiting for??:rotf:
  2. Don, geesh, IT'S NOT EVEN SUMMER YET!!!!!????? How in the HECK did you manage to put the wife's gazebo in the POND???????
  3. Those are sweet looking pipes.
  4. Some of the ingenuity that goes into those types of things amaze me. What also amazes me is who has time to put that all together - balance everything, etc. Thanks for sharing - that was fun.
  5. Great time for riding - heading down to Big Sur Saturday, Petaluma on Sunday - should be great. Cooling vests and plenty of water on ice in the trunk - good to go - heehee.
  6. Ya know, you got that fancy cooler rack - not you got to put something on it other than just lights :rotf: SO, where's the PARTY!!!!!!!
  7. Done, thanks for asking, posting, and everything you do for us, Don.
  8. I've got Frogg Toggs - love them. Only had to use them once (so far), but they are light, compact, and do the trick. Got them at Cycle Gear on sale. Don't know what the product code was. Great for windy days as well.
  9. I could not have said it any better - Thanks, Don.
  10. Thought you were talking about my wife there for a minute :rotf:. She doesn't get on here much - but is known - and her handle on this site is - Mellow Yellow!!!!! As far as the color on the screen, I guess it's cool - have a good one.
  11. Our next meet and eat will be a great trip up to the Carson City / Tahoe area on June 21st. Final details about where we are meeting to ride up there are being worked out, but please mark your calendars and stay tuned for another great day on the road - and fun - with the wild and zany characters known as "NorCal VentureRiders". STAY TUNED - AND HOPE EVERYONE FROM NEAR AND FAR CAN MAKE IT.
  12. Probably have put close to 2500 miles on the bike so far this year, weekends only.
  13. Hey, that's sweet - good job.
  14. A friend of mine sent me this link. Interesting concept. http://www.motorcyclemojo.com/articles/the-uno/
  15. Jeff, I could see two sides to this. I think Squid and Lonna would have a point - the RK's aren't all that loud - especially compared to the Baron's 4-2-4's like I have on mine. When the wife and I went to Colorado last year for the big Rally, the noise from out pipes really started getting to us on the long haul, but for me it wasn't that bad. What we did was go to ear plugs - and in our case, we bought some Big Ears - molded to your ears. These guys are usually at the bike shows. If I wasn't so attached to the "look" of the 4 pipes coming out the back, I would probably switch to the RK's. Good luck on whatever you decide.
  16. Wow, you a braver soul than I am. To me, that ain't no creek - that's a dang raging river :rotf: bud, for not dropping the scoot.
  17. Always wondered what those pipes sounded like - heehee. Everyone tells me mine sound like great - like a 57 Chevy or something to that effect. Good job - all
  18. Great pals - good photos - especially love the ones of the dog/frog - mine would not have been so good I don't think - heehee.
  19. Gerald, glad to hear your boss is OK. I understand where he is coming from with his bike is his friend, BUT, if the wife told me she would buy me a new bike, hmmmm ......................... Only kidding, glad he is OK.
  20. Jack Russell - Jercoupe is the screen name.
  21. Lewis - I would second that one in a heartbeat. Gene, great job - as usual. Get some pics with those things fying the in the wind - eh?
  22. Just got a note from Jack's wife - Bev - updating their situation. Would ask everyone to keep both in their thoughts. "Just thought I should tell you that we are ok in case you hear otherwise thru the grapevine. We were on our way to meet up with Gregg and Sandy yesterday morning to head to Laughlin, when a lady pulled out in front of us. Jack has always been very cautious so he had stomped on the brakes & slowed way down before we hit her. Our front tire hit her front tire & turned the bike sideways. Jacks' right shoulder hit her drivers window and shattered the window, and separated his shoulder. Otherwise he is fine. I ended up on my back next to the rear tire of the car. Don't remember getting there, but don't think I blacked out at all. There were some really nice witnesses there who helped us a lot until the ambulance arrived. I was held still so I wouldn't move my neck, really couldn't see Jack, but knew he was talking and trying to find out how I was. And I also heard him say he thought he had busted his shoulder, he could hear it grinding. Took us to the hospital & fortunately Gregg and Sandy came looking for us & found us before the ambulance took us away. They got all of our things off of the bike & then followed us to the hospital, stayed with us until we were released & brought us home. They are such great friends! Anyway, I just seemed to be bruised up, except today I have noticed that my left knee is not happy, swollen & hurts to bend. Gonna go have that looked at soon. So, Jack got a call from Ryan (Visalia guy) last night & I guess the rumor in Laughlin was that we crashed in the middle of the desert (only 40 miles from home) and that we were airlifted to the hospital (I guess if you call a gurney airlifting....). Sounds sort of like the little deer we almost hit that became a moose before the night was over when we rode with a Harley group! So, Jack has an appointment on the first with a real good ortho dr. We are also looking forward to the new Venture this lady will be buying us! " Get well, soon, guys - and what color is the new Venture going to be?
  23. Thanks for the write up, Brian. I've seen those guys at the bike shows - but with my screwed up bi-focal vision, have stayed away from them. I would really like to get a good pair of sun glasses for the bike - will look into this again.
  24. On our ride to Yosemite yesterday, several gas stations were well over $4.25 per gallon, and the highest was $4.65 per gallon. Glad we were on the bikes at least.
  25. I have the same issues - and found that you have to really turn up the volume to get both sides to work. Spoke with either Sierra or J & M (can't remember) and they said that that was normal:confused24:
