Avons are great - or at least for me they are. I don't ride as agressive as some people might - so I'm finally replacing mine after two years and almost 24K miles. The front one is still OK - but I like to replace both at the same time.
-
Need some info.

Welcome aboard, Dan. Great bunch of people here, great advice, but one word of caution, hold onto to a closed wallet - with all the fun and tips and tricks here, well, one could wander into making the bike "a lot safer" with fun stuff and projects :rotf:

Hey, that's sweet - I really like that - congrats. -
http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=19765 Just wanted to let everyone know - if they haven't scrolled down the forums page lately, the updated information is posted for the Yosemite Ride. Also, if those of you in the Central / Northern (even the L.A. area) want to send me a PM with your e-mail address, I do send out some updated ride information and can include you on the distribution list. Thanks, guys - have a good one and see ya in week.

That's a very interesting concept - not sure if I liked it or not, but definitely different.
-
Charlie, sure glad you brought that one up - I saw that last night and was thinking sort of the same thing. And Lonna may not be as comfortable??? :confused24:
-
Geesh - we're going to have to get an E-BAY Private Detective Badge made up now for Condor - this is what - the second / third one he's nabbed in the last couple of months!!
-
Wow, great job - that is sweet. Enjoy many miles on that bike.

Don't look, you don't need another bike .... :rotf::rotf:

That's gorgeous, Bill - great job. Bet she's fast - heehee.
-
I would definitely be interested - I also liked that FogTech stuff he had - gotta look for that somewhere. If you need couple of bucks, let me know, Eck as I think the quota has been met.

HMM - I got to think about th is - 7:52AM YESTERDAY was when this post was first posted. Out here in California, it was still March - so, I am thinking, there could be a thread of truth to what Peggy has stirred up. Or, because this came a day early, and tore so many hearts, I'll order right now that DVD with the tattoing and piercing tools along with the whip - heehee. GOOD ONE, PEGGY. :rotf:
-
I had to order a caliper/rotor for the rear - explained I needed it in a hurry - and South Seattle came through in a big way - great folks to deal with.
-
Peggy, that is great news (I guess) about getting something that you had wanted for a while - congratulations. BUT!!!!!!!!! Only coming on here once in a while????????? There are lot of members on this best m/c site on internet land that have Harley's - SO, as a "forever" member here, we will still be looking for your wit and wisdom everyday.
-
Geez, Buddy - that is not good. Glad to hear that you had the skills and ability to walkt away from this, sorry to hear about the bike - you have done alot to it. But, moreover, glad to hear that you are relatively OK.
-
Clever way you got your lights set up - especially on the back of the bike.
-
Joe, I think that is an old picture - not one for this new contest Cool idea.

I've had my J & M for almost a year now - I know the feeling of aggravation with the noise. The other thing I found was the cable connector up under the tank (I think for the CB) tends to come loose sometimes. The CB antennae I got from J & M doesn't appear to be tunable. What type of antennae did you get with the unit? I also run my XM Roadie through the J & M unit. Where it is OK, I find that I have to turn my XM up pretty far to get sounds out of both ear pieces - which to me is a hassle as I don't always like the music that loud in the ears.

SHOULD HAVE WARNED US TO WEAR SUN GLASSES WITH ALL THAT CHROME - GOOD JOB.

Congrats, Ron - your beaming smile and happiness, we felt the pride up here. Enjoy many happy years.
-
Dang, that doesn't look like it could be any fun, Lou. Hang in there, bud.
-
Must be a First Gen issue, Condor - got on about the same time as you - no problem - snap, snap / click/click - done.

Has anyone heard of this place? They seem to have them pretty reasonable. http://www.cameraaddict.com/viewproduct.aspx?ID=3613090&l=ShopCartUSA My fear would be that is a used or demo model for the price - thought I would ask here first before calling them.
-
Congrats - I'm still looking at getting one soon. Just went on Amazon and saw someone there selling them for $500.00 - but I'm not sure I would want to do that - thinking it might be a demo or used, or something. Then theres the XM antenna, etcetc. Looking forward to getting one though, enjoy yours.
