  1. Thanks for the custom coatings company info. Might have to check that ou
  2. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. I was stunned reading this this morning. Though I never met Mark, he was a true inspiration for me for his strong will, and positive outlook on life. Rest in Peace.
  3. I have that chrome cover, wish the main part - or whole unit - was chromed versus just the cover.
  4. Don, interesting observations. I too would have to agree that that bike is extremely comfortable to sit on. I'm personally not so sure of ALL the plastic on that bike, and really didn't like the lack of room in the saddlebags, but from just sitting on it - with the wife on the back at the IMS show, it did truly surprise me.
  5. Hey, Rich - don't call them geeks, or they may "ram" you with the bill - :rotf:
  6. Prayers and strong thoughts going to Dog and his family. Hang in there, buddy.

    Be A Star?

Super song - great voice - thanks for sharing.
  8. LOWELL IS WORKING - HE IS THE VENTURERIDER AMBASSODOR - SPREADING THE KNOWLEDGE AND COMRADERY OF THIS SITE. WAIT TILL WE GET THE BILL :rotf:
  9. Hey, we gotta rig something like that up in Morro Bay - you first, Jack :rotf:
  10. For me, it's ironic - his buddies are wearing helmets, he isn't - and look who has the issues -------
  11. WOW - that looks totally cool - though I wouldn't want to have a semi or suv pull up behind me :rotf:
  12. Sending well wishes and prayers for Lonna's Mom. Don, thanks for the link - I have passed this on to my local riding associates.
  13. Football in the spring versus riding?:confused24:
  14. "A 12-inch touch-screen monitor and onboard PC offer information on fuel consumption, navigation, and even internet access and e-mail." Great - as if we don't have enough problems with people on cell phones - now they want to put a screen up front for the driver to get e-mails? What the heck happened to the basic concept of driving a car an paying attention? Oh, other than that, I thought it was a cool looking car and a good concept.
  15. I'd have to agree with you, Bill - seeing them in person is different than in the pictures. My only major complain with them is the small amount of room in the saddle bags - like none. The trunk is OK, but my TourPak is much larger. For me, though, the sit on the bike was very comfortable. Just my two cents
  16. Addicted? Who is addicted to this site . Thanks, Don, for the fun and comradery you have afforded us through this site.
  17. Seems like this is the second one to die this year escorting these motorcades around.
  18. That was awesome - thank you so much for sharing.
  19. Brian, you are coming up with couple of cool slogans there I think.
  20. Don, I like your concepts on the back for the shirts. On the front, maybe just VentureRiders, or a shot of the patch, or if it was feasible, maybe they coule leave a "blank" on the top half of a circle so that we could "fill in" where we are from - for example - NorCal VentureRiders/Arkansas VentureRiders, whatever? I would leave the "club" off, and personally (don't take offense) I like VentureRiders vs. VentureRiders.org. Just my three cent piece. Great Job , however in updating and coming up with clever ideas.
  21. Wow, Eddie - that is a huge difference - I'm not sure about their reasoning. I have mine through Progressive - found them to be OK so far - but maybe should check around . Georgia may be different from California, but I would think the "concept" would be the same for this company nationwide?
  22. Hey, Rod - we got a meet and eat in Stockton on Saturday - maybe you could hook up with Condor or one of the Sacramento area guys and join us. Weather is calling for rain this week - not sure about the weekend and beyond. Be great to see you again if you could make it.
  23. Nice pics - the bad part about winter is you have to get them in when you can get the rides in. QUESTION: Where did you get - or what is that piece on the wing - that you guys were adding or looking at? I am looking for something exactly like that to "separate" my throttle lines and was just getting ready to go over to Arlen Ness and pick something similar up that he has for wires somewhere else - but it's like $40.00 +/- for that part.
  24. That's actually a cool looking custom. If I wond the lotto, that might be a fun toy to put in the stable.
  25. The RSTD is a great bike. As Squid said, just depends on the type / style of riding you might do. I bought my RSTD as I thought I still wanted the "cruise" type of bike - that I wasn't going to often have a passenger, never would be interested in a CB / radio (XM, IPOD,) would immediately loose the windshield, etc. WRONG. In retrospect, wish I would have gone with the Venture - but then I've "converted" my bike over to be able to handle all the above (at a considerable amount of money spent - not including the paint job). Also, I think the Venture will sit you slightly lower in the saddle than the RSTD - not 100% sure on that one, though. Take you time and pick between these two bikes out of the gate - you won't be sorry about either one - they are great. Good luck!
