    Camper

Not exactly the right area, but I thought it would get more exposure in the watering hole. If anyone is looking for a great camper there is one on ebay right now with a real good buy it now price. Here's the link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Aspen-Classic-Motorcycle-Camper-Trailer_W0QQitemZ330299175793QQihZ014QQcategoryZ80768QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  2. Valve covers leaking? If so maybe with all the stuff off it might be easier to change the gaskets now. While at maybe check the valve shims to see if all is still in spec. Just a thought.
  3. I was reading this post again and noticed one thing no-one mentioned. That is looking at getting yourself set up with a trailer to haul the stuff. Many have small cargo trailers to tag along when doing the long distance stuff. Piggy-backer is a nice ready made assemble yourself trailer that is reasonably priced as well. They tow great and offer lots of storage. I have one of those as well as a camper trailer. Marilyn tows the piggy-backer with her vstar and I tow the camper. Thats when we have the kids with us...we are have the whole house with us!!
  4. Ahhhh.....South Bend Indiana....the start of it all. The site of the first venturerider meet. Nice area. Dont forget to stop and smell those flowers! Dont get destination driven like I do, unless thats how you like to travel. Tires checked everyday....check air suspension every couple of days.....the bike is dependable so you should'nt need much. Maybe that switch jumper in case your's goes south. Very handy to have the whole list of members printed up....the members that have listed that offer assistance....nice to have that peace of mind.
  5. Heres a link to a current offer...however this is for a mens jacket. Good deal. http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/bargain_basement/teknic/supervent_mesh_motorcycle_jacket.html
  6. Nice looking scoot!
  7. Those are pretty cool pics. Lots of effort there and considerable talent to make it look "real".
  8. Well thats good news. Now for our thoughts and well wishes for all of you that are "drowning" out west! I lived in Vancouver BC in my past life and have been through some of that stuff.....muds slides, bridges and homes being taken out and enough rain to consider taken some old growth trees down to make an ark! Take care you guys! Some folks back then drove off into the abyss when the bridge that was supposed to be there was not, having been taken out during the night.
  9. I would agree with Chab...that good a deal has to be from Newenough. They offer great deals on closeout items and are very good to deal with as well. I've bought several clothing items from them.

    got it

Hey Pete Courtney wants to know if thats Norman!
  11. Bill You might need to take the computer module out of the dash and resolder the pins in it. Sort of like the error codes fix in the CLASS.
  12. All the best to you and your family Earl. He sounds like he was a great guy and you have some wonderful memories to keep and share.
  13. That is sad to hear. Our thoughts are with you and your family. One said at least you got to be there for them. In a way I guess that is a good thing....
  14. Just a bump....I am watching this as I screwed up my photos in the bucket as well.
  15. Yeppers...some leather for of them. That is cool...congrats to all.
  16. I am happy that you are ok! I gotta ask why there is ice down there! Maybe I am a little naive about the California...
  17. Gees thats a bummer! I sure hope you guys heal up fast. And we are glad you're both still with us. Our friend BigBob low sided at 63 mph and banged himself up pretty good too. Those ribs are gonna be painful for your missus.
  18. I think mikealiasmike bought the trunk from them and had some problems with the locks falling apart. They didnt offer good service for repair. I have the trunk wing on my rsv and it works ok and looks good.

    2009

Have a good one Charlie! Take care of yourself and your kin! Hope to see you in the new Year.
  20. Yeppers Happy New Year all of you! Those still riding....be careful out there.
  21. Sorry Ron Went out and checked the one extra one I have and its the next size up. Not a bad size but not what you are looking for I'm afraid.
  22. I pull a bunkhouse with my RSV. You do know its there if its windy and you can watch the gas level go down fast! specially in a headwind. They track nice and in side winds seems to help stabilize the bike a little in my opinion. Without brakes on the camper it does take a bit more to stop. Its a big camper so watch those slow speed turns and dont run over the curb. Yes it is big and tough enough to support bigger folks. I am 250 and the thing barely moves around once set up. All around a good camper.
  23. Havent forgotten ya...just working nights right now.
  24. Lmao! Thats a good one.....ride on new years day......I could only wish!
  25. No prob Tom.....if you can do without the 550 gadgets the 450 is getting fairly cheap and has all the same things except bluetooth etc. Its waterproof and made for bikes. I would get one now if I didnt have the cross-over. The problem with mine is I think the water came in at the power hook ups.
