    i bought a product called the solution on line and have happy with it. consistancy of water, good on paint and glass, but not all that great on chrome. kinda expensive but it works well. ride safe and be cool, thumper1

    for the extra few cents it costs i go with premium. bike runs better, no knocks and pings, and i get better mileage. of course my old 97 is carburated and i don't know about the fuel injected machines. ride safe and be cool, thumper1:guitarist 2:

    i really hate to say this , but how stupid as a society do we have to be when we have to have our state governments treat us like children who haven't learned not to touch the hot stove and oprah and her national campaign to educate us about something that is so obvious that any 6 year old would understand it. somehow it has escaped a faction of our population that not paying attention while in control of a 1 1/2 ton projectile is dangerous. doesn't look like technology is making us smarter to me. ride safe and be cool, thumper1:think:

    we moved to the mobile al. area about four years ago and i was really hoping we had left this crap in elkhart in. oh well at least it doesn't last long here. ride safe and be cool, thumper1:bang head:

    just an old 97 tour deluxe but we really like it. put on the ultimate seat and trunk and increased it about 300% on the comfymeter. heart attack in august got me to thinking about selling but not sure yet. going in another heart cath next friday, guess we'll see what comes of that. ride safe and be cool. thumper1

    best luck i've had has been from preseason scouting , setting up on a good scrape line and staying in the stand. good luck, thumper1

    i have a 97 rstd and i can hear 2 things making noise. one is the keys as has been mentioned already and the other is the left lower wind buffer. hope this helps. ride safe and be cool, thumper1

    i've owned 4 of those things over the last thirty years and had a great time on every one. except for the cam chain problems that always developed they were fun bikes. ride safe and be cool, thumper1

    glad you like the new rstd. if you haven't bought the mustang seat yet i suggest giving consideration to the ultimate seat. having riden both i found for me the best choice by far was the ultimate. ride safe and be cool, thumper1

    i bought the ultimate seat and have not had the opportunity for a long ride yet, but so far on the day rides it has performed vrey well. still, i like to take more breaks than others might just because i'm 54 and i figure if i have to get there that fast, i should have left earlier. ride safe and be cool, thumper1

    i put an ultimate seat on my rstd and it was the best move for me. sat or rode all the more well known seats, corbin, mustang etc. i had never heard anything bad about the ultimate seat so i tried one for my wife and i and we love it . no tailbone pain at all. good luck with your search. ride safe and be cool, thumper1

    first, welcome to the sight. second, we just put an ultimate seat on our rstd and that really made the differance. the best accessory we ever bought. ride safe and be cool, thumper1:thumbsup:

    we have sent stuff to iraq and the things they said were most useful were things already mentioned along with baby wipes because they can't always get showers. also anti chafe ointment is a real welcome thing. god bless our soldiers,thumper1
