my son-enlaw and I are planning another trip to the east coast [miami beach]..last year we took i-40 ,,,this year we will be taking the low road .just wondering if any knows of any thing that is a must see down that way?

Greetings, I was just wondering for storing the bike over winter is it better to have the gas tank full or pretty close to empty. Mine just has 2 bars showing on the guage right now. I was thinking about that gas just sitting there for 2 to 3 months. If it was better to start the season with a fresh tank. Or does it make a difference. Thank you. bossman

I have a small dog, 16 lbs, and have had him on the bike with me a few times. He seems to like it and was wondering if anyone could suggest a good carrier or perhaps knows of a used one.

Hey Guys, Well, it wasn't 2 days I'd had the new bike home and it started marking its territory with a few drops of green. A little investigation showed the thermostat housing to be the culprit. Now, I'd bought it at a shop where it had been kept nice and warm, whereas I only have cold storage, and of course, it had been around 10 degrees when I noticed this. I was wondering if this is something I might be able to expect as it looks like the housing is plastic, or am I gonna have to go in after it? If I have to go in, the manual that I downloaded seems to be a bit vague, how the heck do I get to it? They made that a little tight. -

I want to replace my Turn/Tail/brake lights with LED lights and keep the Red/Amber covers. I ran across these and was wondering if any of you use them. 1157-x12 LED bulb 12-LED 12VDC replacement bulb 15mm Dual Intensity Bayonet Base Available with 12 Narrow or Wide Angle LEDs in White Also if the 1157-x12 LED bulb is what I need or the 1157-x24 LED bulb. Do I get the Narrow or Wide Angle?? I know I also need the 1156-x12 LED bulb or 24. Thanks for the insight and I am sure I'm not alone in wondering about this so it will help us all.................................................Ron P.S. There is a solitary bolt centered on the rear fender just behind the passenger seat. Does anyone know what it is for? I was just wondering.

hello all, Looking for a little help here. Several months back, someone posted a thread talking about how he had used computer/laptop with a microphone and some software to determine the bike's current RPM. I've been trying to locate that thread to no avail. anyway, I was wondering if this rang a bell with any of you out there. Oh...yeah, my goal here is to find the name of that program. I could have sworn that i downloaded it way back then...but then again, i can't find it now. Thanks in advance, Ron

I see all these touring bikes pulling trailers these days, was wondering how much weight can you actually pull.? I have an 86 venture 1300 and am wondering if it could pull a trailer with a dirt/dual purpose bike on it..??

Last week I started a thread about my neighbor who as nearly mint 1300 that he never rides, he just starts it up, lets it run and shuts it off. Well the day after the thread he took it for a ride. I'm now wondering if he follows the forum.

I know that the California bikes have more pollution control but are the mufflers the same as those on Ventures in other states? I think they are but was just wondering for sure.

Just a quick question on which will provide better fit? I'm 5'10" and have a back problem and want the bars a little higher and back to my more natural arm length and back support position. I already have a set of Harley Bars (Don't ask) and I am wondering if they may be better or worse than the Flander set up I've read about here. Any feedback is welcome.

Is there a source for turned down tips for stock pipes? When I pull my trailer and really get on the gas I can smell the exhaust fumes. I think it is because they "hit" the front part of my trailer's enclosure and get mixed up in the swirl. Wondering if turned down tips would help.

I just read some posts on 'Winterizing' our scoots, and am clear on all concerns except one: Having the wheels off the ground. Now, I don't have any such equipment that would allow the raising & holding of my bike, a few inches above ground so that its wheels aren't making contact with the ground, and I was wondering if it would be all right to place a length of wood beneath the wheels so that they aren't contacting the concrete floor. Please inform. -

There is another style of bracket that is not the hockey stick looking one. It is just angles. I guess you could just do the measurements and figure out a piece but was wondering if anyone knew where the drawing for the other one was? I've seen it but can't make it come up when I search.
