[ATTACH]61075[/ATTACH]I know some will say, "why?". I've wanted one prior to getting the rstd and finally took the leap. Found an 07 w/abs with 35k miles. Any how, i'll try it and see how it goes. If it doesn't work out it's gonna be an rsv or gw. Part of me hates to part with the rstd....and I may or may not regret it, time will tell. Will post pics when I get home with it.

While working on Sat I saw a midnight RSV on a trailer on I-10 W being pulled by a Ford F-150 in Jacksonville, then on my next trip about an hour later I saw an RSV with a voyager kit loaded on another trailer being pulled by a white Impala on I-295 N getting off on Commonwealth Ave here in Jax. ON Friday night I saw another RSV on a trailer. Three RSV's, loaded on trailers being pulled by vehicles with Florida tags. A very unusual sight. Unless there is a stolen vehicle ring operating here in town that specializes in Ventures.......

Took a test ride on an 08 RSV today and yes the whine is there. It wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. My question is : does this whine get worse as you place more load on the engine such as riding two up or pulling a trailer. Really liked the bike. Just wanted some info before I take the plunge. Thanks.

Was on the Original 9/11 ride for pride in Columbus caught a glimpse of another RSV in the 300 plus bikes there. Was it anyone here? I was the one who dropped a red one in the parking lot (front brake and slick shoes are a bad combination).

Will a set off a 2005 RSV fit my 2007 RSTD ? I think they will from what I have seen, but not sure yet .... Thanks, Fuzzy

I hope the bike turns out to be decent . Im going to check out an 05 RSV tomorrow armed with some knowledge picked up from the folks on this site , hopefully Ill be able to figure out if its worthy or just a dud. Wish me luck !

Put some new LED lights on my 2009 RSV. I put them right next to the raditor right next to the ferring. They look pretty good they are chrome with 18 lights in each pod. Try them out and see how they work. I just completed my second three day trip into the Kootney Lake area of BC. Three days of absolutely perfect riding on Top rated Destination Highways in British Columbia's Kootney Lake area. I have to say that my 2004 Midnight Royal Star Venture ran flawlessly. I live in Red Deer, Alberta and the mountains are not that far away but I usually try to make this run around Kootney Lake at least twice a riding season. We were on highway 3, 3A and 6 and we pretty much had the roads pretty much to ourselves there was very little traffic. My friend rides a highly modified 2009 Yamaha Raider. My RSV handled awesome. I set up my suspension for riding in the twisties and we I had an unbelievable ride. Three back to back days of riding from about 8:00am to 6:00pm each day. We spent two nights in Creston, BC as our base and I realize that 1800kms isn't that huge a distance but boy did we have fun. At one point my friend commented that he was surprised that I could stay with him in the curves and while passing but when I told him that the RSV comes from the Vmax heritage he understood. I have had a 1500 Wing and an 1800 Wing but man do I love my RSV. I'm in no way bashing or bad mouthing my former wings, just that I far and away prefer my RSV. So totally comfortable and a lot of people were shocked at how she handled and moved through the twisties. I just had to comment again on what an awesome ride the RSV is. Chris in Red Deer, AB -

I changed the rear tire on my RSV and it was a pain to get lift it? I saw this adapter on ebay anyone out there have it? Or a blueprint to make one like it? Proud owner of a 2006 RSV... completely screwed up and left key in "aux" mode... came back to find a flat battery... recharge was successful, however, my radio module is now not working at all. I have taken off the tupperware and checked and replaced the blade-type fuse, no help. REALLY like the audio on my RSV... and its out of warranty now... Any ideas? Thanks!

Last week, I replace a bad coil on my RSV. It was the right rear (number 3) coil. I was talking to a couple of other RSV owners today and they commented that everybody they know who has had to replace a coil it has been the number 3 coil. If you have replace a coil, which one was it that was bad? I'm just wondering if there is a pattern here and if so, why the number 3 is going bad. -
I actually ran across this when I was looking at the link to some passenger pegs that myminpins posted. The do not list an application for the RSV but they list if for some other Yamaha models so maybe it would be a possibility. Just got back from a 4 day ride in the U.P. saw 4 different 2nd Gen's while there. Could it have been anyone from VRO ? A dark Grey RSV, a Black and 2 others, one was pulling a trailer. Would have been on Sat. , Sun & today.

Just wondering if it someone on here or not. I spotted a red RSV nearby the Oak Ridge National Lab entrance (I believe that it was on Bethel road headed the opposite direction of the lab entrance). I didn't get a good enough look to tell if it was the Red as in the 2000 RSV or the red and black of another year. It was a quick glimpse as it passed and I saw the rear end in the mirror to verify that it was an RSV. I, unfortunately, was not on mine.

Hey All, went downstate to a Family Reunion and seen two different RSV's. Both bikes were Black Beauties, and looked nice. Sure made me miss my 03 RSV "Sweet Thing". After riding the Heritage this year I realize how little it is compaired to the massive and comfortable the RSV. So consider yourselves Lucky. Hope to see you all sometime soon. Later-

Hello everyone: Cody is our first VR event. Having a blast regardless of what we are doing. Enjoying our new found friends. Relaxing this morning. Wives visiting in the shade. I am observing Dano and Condor replacing a rectifier on Condor's RSV. Amazing Talent. Sure glad I brought the Ipad along to keep up on the site. Looking forward to future events!!!!!!!

Anyone know who made the ABC "World News" six o'clock news today on their RSV? It looks blue and has passing lamps. Both rider and passenger on bike. News reporter was interviewing someone on the corner when the bike rode by behind them. Don't know when the story was recorded but I thought it was pretty neat. Anyone else see it?
