I had a local shop (Pitbull Motorcycle Lifts) make me a cooler rack today. I got it bare, and painted it, then added my own lights. If anyone is interested in one, he is going to draw me up some prices with black paint or powder coat. I will know prices in about a week. You will have to add your own lights.

Shock absorber – Check pressure or add air pressure, How to? I have a 2006 RSTD which I have never bothered to check the shock absorber pressure until this week. Using an automobile tire pressure gauge it registered 0 PSI pressure. Is this something for a DIY person to do or should this be done by the Yamaha dealership? Can a bicycle tire pump be used to increase the pressure to the shock absorber? I understand it is a low pressure unit and excceding the maximum pressure can result in damaged “O” ring seals. Thanks. 2 Flights

Looking at adding a fairing to my 05 RSTD. Can get a fairing for a Road King pretty reasonable, but wondering how much modifications its going to take to get it to fit? Any other economical ways to add a fairing? Will probably look to re-use the hardware on the stock windshield to keep it as a quick disconnect fairing.

my RSV was scratched after a slide on a 20% slope previous season. So the idea was to get it repainted during the winter. Not! Was it lazyness, the cold, other things to do? Whatever I started the job only a week ago. Choosed not to ride that much this year, and seek my fun on repainting, polishing, add accessoires, checkups, etc. Nice and easy, on a warm day with a beer from time to time, walking the dog, doing a bit of gardening. Looks like I'm getting old you think? I don't think so, just a matter of prioritizing and enjoying whatever I do. here you can find some pics. I will add new ones every now and then. Enjoy.

Are there keyboard commands that can be used for previewing and submitting posts? I don't see any, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Or if they don't, would that be too difficult to add?

I sold my Vstar 1100 custom and went looking for something a little more comfy. I saw an add for a 1984 Venture and thought it was cheap enough to resale and add more bucks to my new bike fund. It was the day after Christmas when I picked it up. I had to drive it home about sixty miles in thirty degree weather with a few sprinkles. She was a beauty and i was impressed. as i entered the on ramp to I-24, I got a surprise as the front wheel began to lift gently skyward. By the time I got home I decided this WAS my new bike. I'm hooked and I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can. The temp got above freezing for the first time in weeks today. I think I can get enough ice off the door to get in the shop where she sets. It don't need much but this weather has got to give so I can get in there to her!!! Hang on BLUE!

Last summer I bought a Shim kit with about 32 shims and the special tool needed to change shims. I'll be done with it this week. Anybody wanting to use it can, if they will pay shipping to and from my place. If you have to buy shims please add your old ones to the kit so we can all benefit from its use. Just PM me with your address and when you would want it and we can go from there.

Hey you Electrical Engineers- can't I add a diode from radio shack to drop the voltage or regulate pulsing a little in my 2 (55watt) driving lights I added to my ride? The first one only lasted 15-20 hours. i suspect the real culprit was the incesssant shaking...but a small drop in voltage may help!??? I know ohms law but you guys have thought this out better I'm sure.

I removed my CLASS suspension control as it was being flakey and not letting air out of the system, only adding it. It was not working at all in AUTO mode. Clumsy me, I dropped it face down on the hard floor, and the LCD readout broke. Now it doesn't work at all. Goes haywire when i try to use it. Am I best off to leave it unplugged? Can you add air to the front or back or let air out manually? Does anyone have one for an 87 model that works? Send me a PM and I'll get back to you. As always, thanks for looking and I appreciate any info.

I'm just sitting here listening to all the mail of how to add on your phone, (so you can talk like the cagers). Or how you can add this or that to keep touch with the world. I thought that the reason we road was to get rid of all this c****! Correct me if I'm wrong or are we becoming a soccor mom on 2 wheels. Just something to think about!

ATTENTION! Reg/Rec group buy
Dano posted a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Please check this list to make sure you are on the group buy for the regulator/rectifier! We are close to finalizing numbers on this, so the list will close as soon as we complete the costs. If you want to be included and you're NOT on the list, PM me to be included, DO NOT add a post to the thread! This way I can make sure you are included. Thanks everybody, Dan -
Does anybody make a shift indicator as an add on for an 07 rsv and if so has anyone installed and used it?

Sometimes I wonder if a Goldwing would be a better option just because it has heated seat, grips, and vents that can blow some heat on you in cold temps. Having not ridden a venture in cold weather yet, do you stay warm on a venture in cold weather? Or do you need to add some heated features to the venture to stay warm on it? Is it possible to add heat to a venture? Will the electrical system on the venture easily handle heated seats or grips?
