  1. No, I think she just put the car on Auto-pilot and then turned around and snapped the pic...
  2. LOL... and while I was waiting at the Skytrain for Nina the other day, I observed a young guy on a scooter weaving along the side of the street.... texting on his cell. I was just waiting for him to hit something and dump it.

Nahhhhhhhhhhh.... seems like a similar situation... Canucks'll come from behind just like before (and they're not really "behind"). And, so much for my earlier prediction ... so it's gonna be done in game 7 - Canucks on home ice!
  4. Wayne arrives Abbotsford today! I arranged to have some cooler weather for him! LOL
  5. Clive, my first source on that would be a Yamaha shop (which you've probably already thought of). Maybe others have a different idea.
  6. :rotfl: .... and if it was ... well, since you'd be on the flatlands and a straight road, it wouldn't matter that you couldn't see where you wuz goin at that point !!
  7. Could it be that your C.R.S. is acting up again? :stickpoke:
  8. That's true but when your carbs are in sync and you still get buzzing....?? IMHO, just about any 4 cyl engine will have it's "sweet spot" where it just purrs but at other rpm's, not necessarilly so ... and if all things are as they should be (carbs, timing, plugs, etc. etc) then there ain't nuffin ya can do but accept it. Mine has a "buzz" at various rpm's ... been that way since I got it new. Seems to be more pronounced with the drilled out RK's as with them, there's little or no back pressure. With the stock mufflers, it's hardly noticeable.
  9. I got a well used set of those same Khromewerks that Mike is selling. Wife loves them ... I liked the sound but found them too loud to listen to for an extended period of time so I went back to my drilled out RK's ... which I like and she is ok with. NOTE: I don't have the Khromeweks anymore ... tried to repack them and screwed one up so off to the recycler they went. Glad I didn't pay much for them.
  10. I have exactly the same kind of partner and she too, has only been on a bike since we met 6 yrs ago. How lucky can a guy get huh?
  11. :rotfl: yup, that'll do it alright ... don't ask me how I know.

    :thumbsup2: I say they'll take it in 5
  13. you two shoulda been on opposite sides... then it woulda said "PITA ASS" like it's supposed to LOL
  14. I noticed mine slipping at appx 33,000 kilometers (20 k miles). Normally I wouldn't have noticed it, nor would it have been slipping but sometimes I like to really "get on it" and rev it almost to the limiter and then powershift. I do that without clutching and that's when I noticed it. I first installed skydoc's kit but wasn't happy with where it left the engage/disengage point on the lever so I replaced his HD spring with 2 stock springs. Works very well now. NOTE: I've also pulled a loaded trailer last year thru the mountains so that might have had some deterioration effect on the clutch.
  15. A while back someone posted that they'd installed a chrome Stratoliner wheel & tire on the front. Looked pretty good too!

    Great Day

There was one here last weekend but we were having "our" birthday party so couldn't attend. I say "our" because everyone in the family except my son has a birthday in the spring so we didn't really do anything up until last weekend to celebrate.
  17. I am running Road King mufflers that are drilled out. I also tried a set of Khromewerks that were used and a bit "burned out". I've swapped back to my stock pipes a couple of times and I swear the bike seemed smoother. Even yesterday, with the RK's, I was noticing what seemed like vibration but I've sync'd my carbs a few times and they are bang on so I dunno if it's just imagination or that there actually is more vibration. More of a "buzzing" kind of vibration as opposed to a "thumping" as you'd get with a V-twin.
  18. isn't it amazing what a guy can do with photoshop..??
  19. RIGHT ON DUDE !!! you DA MAN !!
  20. hey, you could come up with LilBeaver!
  21. Had one come up behind us yesterday as we were heading home on the freeway. We were in the left lane so I moved over to the right lane and he dropped a gear and nailed it... pulled a wheelie and was gone like a flash... weaved around several vehicles ahead of us and in no time was out of sight.
  22. Correction... " I " won't get waver's elbow, Nina will coz she waves at everybody and everything LOL!!
  23. I bought a Canon Powershot SD1300 IS for Nina for Christmas. An amazing camera and does really great video too! Plus, it came with a Canon MP280 color printer/scanner. Appx the same pricing.
  24. I agree totally! Generally I will wave but you know, there's times when it isn't convenient (or safe), there's times when I'm busy looking at other things (like the traffic), there's times when I'm talking to Nina, and there's times when I just don't feel like waving. Now, if those other riders that passed me and waved get PO'd because I didn't wave.... that's their problem!
  25. Had a guy on a Harley pass us today. We were on a long, straight stretch, 2-lane hwy. He was behind us and I knew he was gonna pass. I was riding in right groove of the lane, allowing him better visibility ahead. Soon as the road ahead was clear, he passed... but unlike what I expected and what most anyone else would do, he didn't move over the centre line.... passed us in the left groove on our side of the road .... now why on earth would he have done that but for nothing else than to show off his noisy, fast (not) Harley. I had a good mind to gun it and leave him in a cloud of Yamadust.
