Well, we had a nice long ride today... on the Corbin. ... Wife says... nope... can't sit right, sits about 1.5 inches higher, too hard... I say... ohhhhhhhhhhh... my butt!!! it's so numb and sore... worse than the stock seat. So, here's the deal, I want to try a pillow top seat both driver and passenger. I'm going to try and see if anyone local wants to make a swap. If I get no takers, then it's open to anyone here and if that don't work, then I will sell the Corbin. I'll keep ya posted and btw, one of the Trial members has already spoken for it if I sell it. I figgure tho that he'll have to become a paying member first.... :stickpoke:

We'e going to look around today for something that will make it more comfortable for her. She says the way the seat is designed, it is more like our '87. She was "ok" with that seat but really likes the stock seat the most.

Buddys clutch was redone and now my clutch is having sympathy slips

Friction Modifiers... ya, that's the term I was trying to remember but my C.R.S. was acting up... The oil cannot contain Friction Modifers for motorcycles. -

My first 2 thoughts on this is, ... a) 20-50 is too heavy b) is the oil motorcycle specific or is it automotive oil? -

So which is it? ... you did your buddy's clutch and it's slipping or you did your buddy's clutch and now your's is slipping or you did your own clutch and now it's slipping? :confused24: -

Ya, my wife says she's not sure about it... says she slips around a lot more... but, we haven't even gone anywhere on it yet so, we'll see how she feels after tomorrow's day ride to wherever. Now, just what is a "butt buddy" ??

I just put a Clearview on about 2 weeks or so back and although it is probably coincidence, I seem to be noticing the whine more. hmmmmm.... maybe it's tellin me it's time for an oil change? LOL

That's an average of almost 68 miles per hour without stopping. It amazes me how anyone can average that speed for that length of time, not to mention, where can ya travel at that speed for that many miles?? For us up here in Canuck land, that's appx 110 km/h ... heck, most of our highways are max 100 km/h. I'd suggest you were doing some excessive speeds most of the time on that trip!!

My sidestand broke on my '85. Was parked at a bike shop one day.. went to leave ... mounted the scoot and just as I sat down, **SNAP** ... and over I went. Was a bit embarrassing to say the least, what, with all them folks millin about lookin at bikes. At least I had lots of help getting the scoot back up again but once I got home, it was a little tricky dismounting and getting it onto the centrestand. I dunno what I would have done without a centrestand!

There's a Donate button, top right of the screen on the menu bar.

That's a very good point. It would be interesting to hear from those on an RSTD that claim they have the whine... if it's as noticeable when they remove the w/s. Also, my wife claims she can't hear it at all, sitting behind me. (What woman hears their own whine??)

Thanks for posting that .... I feel so much better now and will never again complain about my.... uhhhhh .... (compared to yours, I have nothing to complain about). Sure hope you can do something about that!

That's interesting as I test rode one a couple weeks back and that was the first thing I noticed... it had serious vibration when accelerating. Most noticeable in the seat. This was brand new... only 240 kilometers on it.

Motorcycle Superstore price... (rounded up) Front - $124 Rear - $ 152 Local shop price... Front - $175 Rear - $214 As I mentioned earlier, I can get them shipped to Blaine no charge so all I'm left with is the mounting cost so from my math, I can save $113 Shop locally? why? If it was a matter of 20 bucks, sure I would but not for $113 However, I do understand that I'm taking the risk if there is a problem with the tire(s).

I noticed that too but as I said, it was done in a room with poor acoustics and inexpensive recording equipment. I will be mentioning that to her though as I'm sure we can somehow adjust things a bit. I think the cam/mic is sitting too close to the guitar. Thanks for pointing that out.
