Dude's got ton of basically the same pictures. Why in the world wouldn't he take pictures of the boxes open? Those Valkyrie Interstates are one of my favorites...but not at 3 grand over book.

Sounds just like me! I would ride my KLR650 when I lived in MA no matter the weather...until my wife put a stop to it. Somethin' about needed me to be around to provide for my family...

I'm organizing a SaddleSore 1000 over here. Any takers?? It's only 4 laps around the island.

Brake Resevoir Dumb, Dumb, BRAND NEW DUMB!!
Monsta replied to rumboogy's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
With the bike on the sidestand, I put the bars at full right lock and fill the clutch reservoir. The total amount you can put in it before it spills out it is the perfect level. -
NEWBIE Tech Questions

Trunk light - http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/resources/2006/09/sylvania_light_dots.jpg Get 'em at Wal-Mart. I put Velcro on the bottom and on the mounting point in the trunk. That way I can pull it off and use it if I need it somewhere else. TIRES - There will not be a consensus...ever. -
Aerodynamic pressure/resistance SQUARES with speed. Crazy, huh?

Like bore and stroke. Expect to see more of this. Just read about the Aprilia Mana 850 GT with a 7 speed! tranny that can be operated as a auto or a manual. It's more about the design of engines today and how they have to respond to ever more stringent emission requirements. A smaller bore, higher RPM engine is better at controlling emissions. Transmissions with more gears are going to be required to keep the engines within an acceptable operating range both for emissions and driver's needs. Don't V-twins have fairly low piston speeds?

There is a 150/80 front listed and I believe the MV85B15 is for the rear. http://www.dunlopmotorcycle.com/tirecatalog_tire.asp?id=86

So I know nothing about what you're talking..well I know what unshielded copper wire is...I think...anyway...if one were to use, say, twice that amount (20.8" x 2) would I get better reception? I removed my CB antenna and would like to remove my radio antenna since the old one broke and I have this crummy, universal, replacement antenna. I extends and retracts but is still a pain when using my bike cover.

Monsta replied to Owen's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Very cool mod! I don't have a heel-toe shifter but if I did I would probably do this mod.- 60 replies

passing lights and rear lights
Monsta replied to junkyardog53's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
For simple rear lighting you could use the existing reflector bases, go get some LED side marker lights from NAPA or Wal-mart and wire them into your running light wire. See my gallery. -
I would love to ride in the snow...provided I didn't die doing it. Looks miserably fantastic!

what kind of Oil and oil filter?
Monsta replied to bikerjohn's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Prediction: You will not get a definitive answer. Nearly each poster to this thread will tell you what HE uses and why and 99% of the posts will be something different than the guy above. I use Shell Rotella T 15W40 and change every 5K using a Napa Gold 1358 filter. -
Mine popped on decel even though the previous owner had removed the AIS. Syncho'ing my carbs eliminated the popping.

In my experience with questions like these the replies will come out 50/50 and you're still stuck with the same question. The PS3 is more versitile since it is also a Blu-Ray player but stand alone BR players are becoming quite inexpensive now. The Xbox 360 (what my kids have) has great quality, online gaming (for a price), lots of games and good support but can't play Blu-Ray discs. So depends on your usage really. Most racing games today make me want to throw either game station out the window...

I believe his reply was more to help overcome some of the false notions presented here that an ABS equipped vehicle won't stop as quickly. Seems he was just stating a fact. Who is doing the removing of responsibility? Features, safety or not, do not remove the responsibility.

Cams, carbs, exhaust & transmission ratios are all different...

Their Deluxe is not quite a full replacement for the RSV but add a trunk, lowers and bigger fairing w/a radio and stuff and you've got a full dresser. http://www.cycleworld.com/assets/image/2009/W37/090820091418405947.jpg

Ya wimps... I love riding in the rain. It heightens my senses and awareness to beyond drug-induced levels. Riding in the rain is a very intense, satisfying experience. However, proper rain gear makes a world of difference.
