  1. If it is the same as the '86, its underneath the radio/cassette player area in the left side of the faring. Dave
  2. The rear brake is linked to the front left. Do the rear brake, then the front and then (and this I didn't know about the first time I tried) bleed the valve that is up by the steering head. It's right in front of the false tank cover, a little to the right side. I couldn't get good brakes until the upper bleeder was done. Dave
  3. Denny- Welcome to the nut house. LOL This the great group you'll run into. (Like you surname too) Dave
  4. First thing that comes to mind is a stuck float in one of the carbs. Could be as simple as the screw that closes the drain hoses you're seeing is not closed all of the way. I would check the drain screws, tap on the carbs with the handle of a screwdriver to break lose the float. Then add a good dose of Seafoam to the tank and ride. Dave
  5. I haven't looked at my Piggybacker yet but I've had one of the keys come apart on mine. The lock itself appears to be like the locks used on desk drawers and should be available at most hardware stores. Dave
  6. Great pictures and a fine way to remember a dear friend. Dave
  7. Scooter- Cody was a rally set up for 2009 for the members of the western part of the states and Canada. If was a great success and enjoyable time. There has been talk about holding a western rally in Durango, CO or maybe the Kootenays in Canada. Nothing has been decided and the dates are still a question and may depend on the location that was chosen. Keep an eye on the website and hopefully your schedule will allow you to get there. Dave
  8. Congratulations to the happy couple!! May they have a wonderful life together (and grandkids for you, so you feel as old as me) Dave
  9. I'm jealous. The pics are great!! Dave
  10. congrats on the new ride... now for the pics! Dave
  11. I agree with the wheel chock. You need to prevent the bike from sliding out. Tie Downs - make sure you have racheting type not just the self locking. Point of tieing down - there are other threads on the side about this but basically, tie down to solid points on the bike. I recommend tie to the handlebars or triple tree (anything above the compression of the front end). If it bounces, your straps could possibly come off and if you tighten them down to remove the bounce, you could damage your seals or forks. I connected mine to the front forks to the lower section just above the fork brace. Dave
  12. Write them back and tell them that you will be out of town and that the date is not good for you, would they postpone it for a couple of years. Dave
  13. Gary- Prayers for you, your family and your doctor. May you find the peace and comfort we are all promised as you commune with the Master Physician. Dave
