  1. has anyone tried gorrilla glue? im thinking of cutting a sheet of some oven liner plastic to cover the hole on my side cover and its a 83 there is no screw mounts behind it. so just thinking i could glue the sheet along the ridge of hole. the baking sheet is black to match bike and thin and flexibale so glueing is onlyoption
  2. just want to say thank you for great replys. when i found the fluid leak where the slave valve is located look like a major job, but with all your help i did the job with no problems took maybe 1 hour with couple coffee breaks and cooling breaks included . my garage isnt a/c'd and it was 90plus with about 90 humidty yesturday.. thanks again to all. now back to riding after waiting about 1 week for parts to come.
  3. hey all ok leaking clutch fluid from what i can see looks like it coming from hose seal where it attaches to slave valve or valve it self. dont want to take off gear cover yet cause im not sure if there is a gasket on that and i dont have one to put back on if i go to get parts . guess what im getting to is is it a big deal to pop that cover just to see whats going on or just get all parts first then do job. and who has least expensive hose and push valve . ill most likely just change everything any while im in there.

  7. hi all I found this stuff at advanced auto vavoline synthetic brake fluid dot 3&4 ? do you think it good for the clutch on 83 venture. its good price about 6 bucks for a quart bottle. but i never seen brake fluid marked 3 and 4 . your thoughts???
  8. today went to work no problems. comeing home after about 7 miles of easy riding started to feel clutch was going away, had to pull it all the way to grip hard and had to stomp at shifter to change gears. it would take bike out of gear ok at stops but had hard time getting it into 1'st. then almost home had to keep it in third.( i didnt want to brake shifter stomping it )got home and couldnt get it in neutal till i just put stand down then could move shifter like normal. its too dark to see now but there is no leaks, master is a hair over half in site glass, the fluid should be changed as it looks on the brown side. but i dont know if thats the problem. what do you think? it is 83 venture xvz12tk thanks:confused24:
