    speedy recovery. a good friend of mine just had this operation, make sure you follow the instructions on keeping the area around the tube clean.

    i installed mine per instructions. i left the spacers whole. i also have block-offs and stainless de-link. it was VERY stiff for about 1000 miles, then loosened up a little. ps..sometimes fluid is leftover, so they may be getting overfilled

    ive been riding mine for a year like that. if i just ease on 2nd, no problem. but i just skip it. gonna take it apart this winter. got a couple more rides to do.

    the 83 is only a single..on and off. i havnt been able to find a replacement new part. just saying.....maybe try to cross with some other yamaha bikes of same era

    +1 on the Super Tenere! i like them...except for the linked brakes and the inability to shut off traction control...ugh...the Triumph Tiger has a new 800 model as well as the BMW.

    i found it. there was a break on the board. you can see it just below the jumper. since i have limited soldering skills, i just jumpered between those 2 points...voila! low beam! thanks for the help!!

    not a bad deal, but i think i had about 20 bucks into my recover. of course it doesnt look as nice as an original cover. i left the brown cover on, sprayed glue on it and recovered.

    i just stapled a black vinyl over mine. marine grade. the chrome strip is just rubber 3m moulding. but i found a Corbin on ebay, now this just takes up space.

    i will check the connection, but, i just put a new bulb in and it looked ok. where is the reserve lighting device?

    i have no low beam. it worked, very dimly, for a short period...maybe a couple weeks. started it this morning and no low, high beam works but shows a draw on gauges. bulb is about a month old. any ideas?
