  1. Man!!!! you guys are cold.......
  2. I am here holding my tool to measure the level and it measures 1 inch from the top of the housing to the level of the oil. If you take a small piece of wood and make a mark one inch from the bottom stick it down into the housing it should just touch the oil. Oil should be one inch from the plug opening. On my 86 it was changed and the plug is lower and you just fill it until it runs out but I still have the tool set that I had with my 83 Venture.
  3. I keep hearing of Mobile 1. Is this a special motorcycle oil or is it just the automotive oil? I thought you wasn't susposed to use synthetic automotive oil in a bike.
  4. Excuse me that is www.flatoutmotorcycles.com
  5. As far as pads go, ebay has them for $29.00 for two sets. Try www.flatourmotorcycles for parts. They are about the cheapest I have found.
  6. Mine did the same thing for a while. It would leak when cold then seal off when warmed up. I wound up being the o-ring on the drain. I removed and installed a new o-ring and have not had any more problems.
  7. Well aaa I did buy me one of them there RSV and I aaaaa was at them places. It seems it's getting harder to hide these days. I really enjoy riding my bike there and mama liked it too when she was alive. It's almost as good as eating mama's mash taters and gravey oooooowwwweeeeee!!! and them peanut butter and banana samiches. Well yall take care now and maybe I'll see you on the road. Thank you, Thank you very mucy, Elvis aaa I mean Curtis
  8. I was riding along and felt something hit me in the chest but didn't think nothing of it because I was used to being hit by bugs. I rode about another 5 miles and pulled into the gas station and put my feet down and leaned forward and a red wasp stung me through my pants on my twins and I dropped the bike and the ladies in the store was watching through the window and wondering why I was dancing around holding my privates. I guess this should be on the most embarrassing moments huh?
  9. I live in Mountain Home, AR and you'll probably pass through here. Give me a call and I'll show you around. The best place we have found to canoe is at Buffalo Point out of Yellville. It is about an 8 mile canoe ride and takes about 5 or 6 hours if the wate is not too high. In may the chances are that the water is pretty fast and the trip is easier. We purchased our own canoe to save money. I think they charge $45.00 for a canoe for the day and will take you up river and pick you up at the finish. There is a good camp ground called Bufalo Point that offers cabins for rent at a reasonable cost. Hell we might go with you. We used to go to Eureka Springs alot until the whole town was taken over by the gay community. Over 70% of the businesses in town are owned by gay and lesbians and once a month they have what is called a public display of affection. I am affraid to take my children there any more. Give me a call, Curtis Traylor 870-405-3693
  10. I just assumed that you drive with the handle bars behind you. Man! I have been doing it wrong all this time......

    vest pin

I repaired on of mine with a drop of epoxy has held for a year now.
  12. I went to Auto Zone when my headlight blew and they had one in stock. Just take in the old bulb.
  13. One the back of the trunk of my 86 Venture Royale in chrome letters reads this: Fear No Evo I gutted the mufflers so they talk pretty loud so when a harley pulls up behind me and revs his straight pipes, I can speak pretty loudly my self and then I blow his bags off, so to speak......
  14. They make smaller campers now that weigh about 3000 lbs that have a fold down door on the rear for your bike. It will only sleep 2 people in the front and perfect for carrying a bike.
  15. I am still confused that mother is a guy.......I don't understand....
  16. The Steak House in Mountain Home, AR does it. They server cajun peanuts. I took 86er there when he came through town. They are kind of spicy hot.
  17. Bucket List? 1. I want the speaker at my funeral first words to be "we are here today to celebrate Curtis' 100 years of life." 2.Want to make it to the states I haven't visited yet. I don't like many. 3.Want to ride around the top of the Great Lakes and see Niagra Falls. 4.Want to design and build my own trike and have the money to buy exactly what I want to install on it. 5.Get my pilots liscence and own my own plane That's about all I can think of now.
  18. 86er saw mine when he was in Mountain Home, AR. I bought it, an 86, with 24,000 on the clock for $3200.00. I now have 47,000 miles showing and still going strong. Curtis Traylor Mountain Home, AR
  19. I took the stock yamaha back rest and ordered the back rest off ebay that fits on the trunk. I found the same color as my seat. I cut a piece of sheet metal that fit the back of the back rest and bolted it on then bolted it to the stock back rest. Now both of my back rest are the same. I looks great. I can't use it with a passenger but you are not susposed to use it with a passenger any way.
  20. I built my own and went to Lowes and paid 50.00 for a large heavy plastic tool box that had a locking latch on it. I then bolted it to the trailer that I built. You can buy Krylon paint from Walmart that is made to paint plastics and paint it your self.
  21. When is the Eureka Springs meet? I just live 1.5 hrs away and would love to come.
  22. You need to check out the mazda Miata rear differential. It is independent suspension and is all self contained. The whole set up just unbolts and is mounted inside its own frame. I think it would work great for a trike.
  23. The formula I use in my class is RPM X Displacement/3456 X Volumnmetric efficiency (.85% if a street car and 1.10% if racing) = CFM I have often wondered what the bike would run like if I built an intake that would take a 2 barrell carb. It would be much easier to keep in tune.
  24. Well Gearhead, it is loud enough to make the Harleys look but quite enough for comfort when cruising with the radio on. It only gets kind of loud when you really get into it then it talks to you and the Harleys. I got tired of the Harleys pulling up beside me and racking their pipes. They pay attention now because there is not a bike out there that sounds like these do
  25. POLITICS Well let's see here and break it down a little. POLI: latin meaning many or much Tics: Blood sucking creatures. Many blood sucking creatures. Uhhh, that's all I got to say about that......
